Brenda Heslop is one of the hidden pearls of British songwriting – with this new album she will surely emerge to occupy her rightful position among the very best in her profession.
She has been writing songs for 20 years, her husband Geoff arranges and records them as well as often playing the instruments and providing the harmonies. The arrangements have an original quality, often using folk tunes as a secondary melody to the main tune.
The sound is very much based on their harmony singing, accentuating the words of these beautifully crafted and haunting songs.

This is authentic songwriting by someone who knows what she’s talking about.
