The Stories are like clouds hanging round my head. One will remind me of, another will cloud my raining eyes as another will smother the words that said to much.
My memories, my interpretations, experiences and people on trains or crossing a street, lost loves and frustration, filosophical mindbreaking and passing by stories. Wishfull thinking and keeping myself on the ground I've walked on for so long. Recognizing happyness and enjoying it. Love life. Good and wrong. All of this and more is my inspiration and my greatest fear.
I do what I love to do. Playing my acoustic gtr solo in a bar, singing, Playing bass as Mr. Bouquet in The Madd, whispering and screaming mine and other peoples stories. Telling theirs like they're my own. With my heart.
After a restless couple of years I started writing again. Having put a million things and a hungry heart behind me, I rediscovered the joy and the need of telling stories. From time to time backed up by incredible musicians I feel like I don't have to do anything but to enjoy.

It's a privilige and an honour to be on stage with these people. I love the chemistry and their ability to plug and play. They are what make the prostitutes special. They make the clouds dissappear for a moment and make me able to sing, scream and shout.
I've decided that there will be an album. Plans had stopped some time ago. But I will make this record... For now you'll have to do with the homerecordings and live takes.

Ach ja, er komt vast wel weer een volgende keer! Enne, voor dat feest in Vlissingen ben je niet lang genoeg gebleven denk ik, want er was feest zat, ben er nog gaar van...bleeh, nou zie je wel weer!
OJa, en ik was ook nog met Femke op Oerol een paar weken terug, had je dus blijkbaar ook gespeeld, maar wij waren te lam om het programmaboekje fatsoenlijk door te nemen...zucht...ik word moe van mezelf..
Hee Richard!! Ik dacht al dat ik je had zien lopen op Onderstroom, shit man, had wat gezegd dat je in Vlissingen moest spelen!!Ik dacht dat Dio & The Madd een compleet andere band was! Grrr, heb ik het gemist..Ik moest spelen in de singertent en zag jou daar langslopen, maar ik dacht (bril niet op, weinig slaap, veel drank) " ach, ik zal het wel weer verkeerd zien, dat zou wel heel toevallig zijn".

Hallo! Donderdag 25 juni is mijn eindexamenconcert in Theater Walhalla in Rotterdam. Ik sluit die avond mijn conservatoriumtijd af en luid mijn theatertijd in. Het lijkt me erg leuk als je er ook bij bent! Er zijn maar een beperkt aantal kaarten beschikbaar, het is dus verstandig als je bij mij een kaartje besteld.
