Well...I used to sing and play guitar with Cheshire indie rock band Gorski, but since the band imploded I've decided not to give up the dream and carry on playing solo.
I still write my own songs and play them to anyone who'll listen, often at the Iguana Bar in Chorlton, Debees in Winsford, or anywhere else the wind takes me. I still play the odd acoustic gig and looking forward to playing a lot more later this year.
Away from music, I work as a journalist on an daily newspaper based in Stoke-on-Trent.
As for Gorski....
Gorski were formed when local news reporters Richard Ault (vocals) and Mark Hilditch (lead guitar) "swapped their pens for guitars" and formed a band.
After early problems with exploding drummers, disappearing bass players, and stupid band names, they were joined by fellow reporter Chris Blackhurst on guitar and former Tower Struck Down bass player Pip (Andy Roberts). The line-up was finally completed by drummer Nick Oram.
The band quickly became leading lights among the thriving Cheshire music scene, were signed up to a management deal, toured the north west and recorded the Something New EP.
Then just as the band were begining to get noticed, Gorski imploded.
Chris left when his son Ben was born, but Gorski continued with a more stripped down sound.
In the end, although they never officially split, the band simply ground to a halt.
Recently, rumours have started surfacing of a Gorski revival...
By the way, the songs currently on my profile are pure Gorski, but expect some new solo stuff when I get round to recording it.

The Good Hurt play a special live acoustic/electronic set this Friday 11th May @ The Koffee Pot, Manchester. Hi Rich. How's life? This year has been an absolute bitch so far, but at least it can't get much worse. On the plus side I've picked up a few cracking albums recently. I can't recommend The Snow Leopards enough - they sound like the Yeah Yeah Yeahs high on sugar at an eighties disco.
