Born and raised in the Central San Joaquin Valley, Richard has been performing as a working musician up and down the coast of California and most recently as a solo singer/songwriter in coffee houses and various venues through out Los Angeles. Richard’s first CD "Mile after Mile" garnered much critical praise and attention in Europe, Australia, Canada and the US, winning awards and chart topping radio airplay that has continues for years even after it’s 1998 release date. Richard’s 2nd independent release, "This Winter’s Chill" has drawn comparisons to some of our greatest comtemporary songwriters including: Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Steve Forbert. Richard has a unique vocal presence and an original and intelligent gift for songwriting.
Currently working on his third independent release. The new CD promises to be a mixture of interesting rhythms and inspired storytelling. "The new CD is a bit of a departure. Rhythmically, the new CD has taken some direction that is new for me and I am really having fun with it. I am certainly stretching vocally and enjoying the inspiration quality I am working to infuse into this CD lyrically. I have always been fond of stories of the human struggle." The new CD should be out early in 2008.
This has been a busy year for Richard......As well as working on a new music CD release, Richard has also recently released a CD of the Guided, Mindfullness Meditation he uses in the work that he does with those in the early stages of addiction recovery. The CD is a a beautiful and peaceful guide of allowing attention to the moment. "So often our thoughts will carry us away from our appreciation of the moment, which can contribute to our stress and anxiety." The CD is available for purchase at www.RichardBurr.com and CDBaby.com.
Blessed with a moody give for writing and a subtle ability for peeling back the hidden layers of our lives, singer/songwriter Richard Burr smolders on his introspective and lyrically rewarding CD "Let it Rain"...on this, his second album, Richard shares self disclosure without a hint of pretension...
George Peden (www.countryreview.com)
Californian Richard Burr is in a great spot to take advantage of the Americana format. Armed with a passel of good songs, this Haggard-looking, Forber-sounding artis has got the goods to make it big in these musically perilous times. Along with his guitar, harmonica and songs, he’s also got a great band and a mature sesibility that goes far beyond his boyish voice,...he seemingly can’t write a bad song.

...This is REAL MUSIC, REAL SONGWRITING, and REAL GOOD...his music is real and true that way music was meant to be...one of those songwriters with the ability to inspire other songwriters...
I’ve been a music journalist for more than 10 years. Over the years, many artists and managers have asked me what the best way to break into the European music market is.
Here are some things you can do:
Publish artist press releases, news, and tour dates to the CountryHome Forum on MySpace, http://groups.myspace.com/CountryHomeMagazine , CountryHome Forum is part of CountryHome, http://www.CountryHome.de , Germany's Premier Country Music Online Magazine. Everything you publish to the CountryHome Forum will be published in my weekly Newsletter which has over 80,000 readers.
Send me CDs and DVDs for review and set up an artist interview with me. All reviews and interviews will be submitted to the magazines I'm writing for. More information for which magazines I'm writing can be found at http://www.MySpace.com/ChristianLamitschka
Upload artist videos to http://www.MyVideo.de and http://www.ClipFish.de . Both websites are like http://www.YouTube.com and uploading videos is free. The websites are completely in German. If you don’t speak German and need assistance, I will help you open an account and upload a video for 25 Euro. Each additional video upload for the same artist name and at the same video website is 10 Euro.
If you have more questions about the European music market or about any of the information I send to you today, please contact me at Ch.Lamitschka@t-online.de too.

I think your songs are beautiful! i am also a big fan of Dylan and Springsteen. But you got your own voice, the sound of the uploaded songs here, you may be inspired by Dylans "Blood On The Tracks" album. That's not bad. Thank you.
