About me: I've been into Jazz for over 35 years now after buying "Bitches Brew" on a whim. Arriving in London in the early 70's to go to College at Trent Park and becoming awe struck with the incredible talent and amazing music that was on offer. Fellow students Julian Marshall and Kenneth Ansell introduced me to a wider range of improvised music such as John Stevens, Evan Parker Keith Tippett and Mike Gibbs. I collected loads of albums and loved just about everything. Taking photos of British jazz musicians came much later when, about 8 years ago I met Estelle Kokot and she encouraged me to mix two of my passions. Having many years experience of theatre photography helped, but as British jazz clubs are so badly lit it was a real challenge and I was always conscious of annoying audiences by moving around. Now I've got a few pics - many of which the musicians haven't seen - so this page might lead a few people to view themselves on "Flickr". Click on a photo to link straight there.
