When you originally drew the
artwork for Sol'kanar the Swamp King,
his creature type was a Legend.
In the new set, Timespiral, they
reprinted him and errata'd his
creature type as a legendary
demon.
Is this what was going on in
your head when you illustrated
Sol'kanar's artwork, was this
the concept given to you, or is
this some new silliness?
I am very sure you are SICK of MtG
related questions and comments, but
I wanted to know.
To me Sol'kanar was always some half
crazed warrior who was a self proclaimed
King of a Swamp somewhere, or an
evil caveman barbarian guy from
ancient times.
I can accept him as being a demon,
but I think labeling him from Legend
to legendary anything really takes
all the player's imaginative art
interpretation away.
Cheers man, been a big fan of your work for over ten years, it's a real inspiration. Do you have a website outside of this? Looking forward to the Heavy Metal issue!
I have Dakkon Blackblade as my Icon. I played M:tG in Roanoke, Virginia at Star City. I have at least 20 Copys of Dakkon Blackblade. Looking at your freind list makes me feel like: I'm the Dork that wears the t-shirt of the band to thats bands concert :-P
If I am supposed to pay for use of your art let me know and I will see what I can do, cause I don't think I could possibly have a better icon.
:Paka out
:ps thx for f(reind)ing me
Again thank you for all your hard work at artistry (I don't believe anything so neat can come so easily, so again thanks) and creating the works you do.
I look forward to your upcoming "The Golden Age" and any other projects you are getting into.
Happy New Year. I really admire your art, it's so easy to pick out your stuff from everyone else's. Very distinct, that's what I love about your stuff! If only I could somehow get a hold of some huge poster-like prints for my wall... you should probably post your calendar or something for public appearances for us fans to catch you.
