  • Bio

August 2010 sees the release of Richard Lee's stunning second album Eighty Two and a Half Chances; An album of upbeat songs with infectious melodies and stirring choruses. With subjects ranging from life, love, divine intervention and the still small voice in the back of your head it goes places that we've all been casting an uplifting light, even on the downbeat topics. From full band epic tracks through to the quietest heartfelt acoustic tracks this is an album that is destined to make an impact wherever heard. Recorded over two and a half months in a studio in the leafy county of Surrey UK, Eighty Two and a Half Chances is a natural progression from Richard's debut album, Beautiful Car Wreck. Where Beautiful Car Wreck was brooding and insightful, Eighty Two and a Half Chances is an upbeat and well realised album with a positive spirit infusing the entire album. This collection of songs are not missing any of Richard's trademark deep and meaningfuls, however the upbeat nature is maintained throughout, making this album a pleasure to listen to and leaving the listener feeling optimistic at the end of it. Running at 55 minutes and featuring 13 new songs this is Richard's most accomplished work to date with the songs fitting together perfectly with each drawing you in and leaving you with a melody stuck in your head. This album has already drawn comparisons with the country-rock might of Keith Urban and the heartfelt Americana of Eastmountainsouth, but sung with an English accent and having something all of its own.

Acoustic/Rock/Americana music from a guy with a warm heart-wrenching voice and an English accent, with songs that capture today's music, as well as a dash of A.M top 40 hit from yesterday...... The sound of Eighty Two and a Half Chances has drawn comparisons with the country-rock might of Keith Urban and the heartfelt Americana of Eastmountainsouth.
