Sounds Like
.... someone digging holes in a moonbleached forest, with occaisonal jaunts to the fairground for pop and candyfloss - tales of thieves, blaggers and pantomime cows, ghosts, odd lovers and magical vows. In one way or another the music's a bit like: Tom Waits, Nick Cave - John Martyn - Jake Thackray - Steeleye span - Sheffield - Bright Phoebus - Lal Waterson - Nick Drake on caffeine - circulus - Martin Carthy having a bender - Leonard Cohen putting up a shelf - Pentangle - the Wickerman -------------------------------- Or for a more literal interpretation its sounds like guitars and singing replete with corr anglais, flutes, fiddles, violas, horns, oboes, Er Hus and harmoniums. If its genres you're wanting, well then: its all a bit --- neo folk - traditional - strange folk -swamp folk - acid folk - or something.

Hello. I am just posting to shamelessly plug my gig at the Boardwalk on Wednsesday 1st November. We are a five peice with a cellist/optomotrist a grade 5 flautist and a fustrated jazz drummer - it has to be worth a look and all for £5! (+ support)
Trefor Jones and the Minstrels
