Richard Miron is a singer-songwriter from Atlanta, Georgia. He's currently a sophomore at Yale University.
Richard Miron's debut solo album, Take the Ride (2008), includes ten original songs that feature both his piano-rock and acoustic-rock personas. After several months of recording and mixing with producer Michael Levine (Matthew Kahler), the album was mastered by world-renowned engineer Glenn Schick (Ludacris, Of Montreal, etc.).
Take the Ride features re-vamped recordings of Richard's multiple-award-winning songs, "Whirlwind" and "The Car," as well as several songs that have never been previously released.
Richard began to sing and act at a young age, and soon he began performing in professional theatre and television productions. After touring in the Broadway show Seussical the Musical at age thirteen, he began playing the guitar and writing original music. During his high school years, he performed with several local rock bands and played at numerous venues in the metro-Atlanta area, including local coffee shops. It was here he found his niche, developing a large and loyal coffee-shop following. His fans began to multiply and proved that his music shattered all demographic boundaries.
In Take the Ride, Richard recognizes his metamorphosis not only in songwriting, but in living as well. Take the Ride explores growing up through the eyes of someone who is actually doing it.
Richard's addicting melodies will tease your ears, leaving your head spinning with ideas of love, frustration, and wonder. Take the Ride combines Richard’s soul-soothing acoustic intimacy with his brain-stimulating rock charisma. His lyrics tell stories of optimism and confusion, breathing fresh thoughts into any open mind.
Over the past year, Richard has been experimenting with new genres, recording techniques, and pseudonyms. He is currently gearing up for the release of his new music project's debut mini-EP, Everything Digests, which is scheduled to be digitally available this November. Check out Stray Balloon for some tracks.

"…Miron's Take the Ride CD features a flexible vocal ability, and, at only 18 and about to start his freshman year at Yale, he is showing his talent as a singer and songwriter.
One of the best songs on the 10-track CD is Let it Go, an upbeat song about moving forward in life or a relationship, but the best part is the fancy piano that rings crystal clear. It's a song that after one listen reels you in and you find yourself looking for the repeat button on your CD player…
…Other tracks on the CD include Passenger Seat and The Car which are fun and musically solid, especially the piano tracks. Piano can either distract from a great song if not done right, or it can make a good song great. Billy Joel is a perfect example, and after seeing Miron perform recently at open mic night at Eddie's Attic in Decatur, it was apparent that he, like Billy Joel, has a certain stage presence and style that's unique and focused on not only great lyrics but solid piano to back it.
One truly moving track is the final song which was written for friend and fellow Walton High School friend Phillip Silverman who died a year ago in a car crash… Miron was moved to write the song in his memory…
…But the words are beyond his years, and the manner in which Miron sings the songs is a true testament to self-confidence in his musical career that is sure to take off either on the independent circuit for now or with a future record deal…
…If you can't find it at your local music shop, encourage them to stock it…”
