Iain Archer, Jonatha Brooke, Ben & Jason, Shawn Colvin, Lisa Loeb, Tom McRae, Kim Richey, Polly Paulusma, Del Amitri, Indigo Girls, tons of other dudes like that but you probably get the idea by now... Non-musical influences include Vimto, Back To The Future and Monster Munch.
Having toured the London acoustic circuit, I've been lucky enough to play to appreciative and often fully conscious audiences. Constantly honing my guitar style, haircut and songs, I have been well received in some of the capital's most famous venues. My gigs have been described as 'unmissably special' by people who hadn't even been paid to say so... My debut album STFU was released in April 2006.

I recently visited, and performed for the troops in Iraq! If you click on the picture of me and the troops, below, you can download an EXCLUSIVE track for FREE from my album ‘Live From Iraq.’ Support the troops!
I've just seen AA's video at the Perceverance. Oh I wish I had been there! You should do something similar with your own stuff, because I miss you all lots and I can't find the time to travel to London.
"Struggles & Lulls", the brand new album from Joan Coffey, is available now on ITunes
'a voice that can enchant. Coffey's vocal chords deliver liquid gold with a divine Irish lilt.' FATEA Records 'charming and honest'. Time Out 'Joan's music exudes a warmth, humility and truth that is rare to find in singer-songwriters these days'. Thea Gilmore
I know it's as easy as clicking on download and waiting, but I seem not to find the time to get that new mix. I hope I haven't missed any other. Boys will be boys and when they are twins it's double boys!
Hey! Hope you are doing good. I wanted to let you know about a show i'm doing in London on Sunday, June 1st.
I'm touring with Tommy Allsup. He played guitar with Buddy Holly, and is the guy playing on songs like "Heartbeat", "It's So Easy", etc, etc.....he is 76 and still going strong.
He is a character.
Anyway, i would love to see you at the show. I think as a fellow musician that you will really appreciate seeing Tommy play, and listening to his stories! He is THE guy that flipped the coin with Ritchie Valens.
If you want to see Tommy in action....check out my blog. There is a video from last week in Nashville from the studio.
Take care, the music is sounding great, and i hope to see you soon!
Sincerely,
Kevin Montgomery

Hey! How's the weather over there? I just want to let you know that i'm coming to London in late May/early June to play bass with Kevin Montgomery and Tommy Allsup. Tommy played guitar with Buddy Holly, and is THE guy that flipped the coin with Ritchie Valens.....would love to see you at a show? I figured with you being a musician you could appreciate this show. We play the Half Moon Putney. I hope you can come down?
Take care!

After 18 months of songwriting thrills, spills, chilled drinks and temperamental strange beautiful mentalist Shelley like waif and stray musicians baring their warm hearted souls at weekly music night ’Myspace or Yours’. The folks from SONGWRITERS ANONYMOUS are kickstarting a monthly residency at The Vibe Live with a showcase for the acts they’ve nominated for this years Indy Music Awards.
Hope you are having a good Holiday season! I wanted to let you know that i'll be touring in the UK in January with Kevin Montgomery, and we are playing London on Jan. 15th....at the Half Moon on Putney.
I hope you can make the show..........until then, Happy Trails! AP
Oh, thanks for the correction! I do like the quote even more, especially taking the 'wind changing' detail. It has to do with my husband, being fed up of working for big companies with stupid bosses and taking the decision of beginning a self-employed life, which is risky, but at least he'll be happier..I hope...Otherwise he'll always have that frown on her face.
Good luck with your day -work and better with your artistic side.
That was a great idea to put up the remixes for a limited time only - errrm - I missed the Alastair one - OK OK - I haven't been back here for months - look it's a turbulent time for us, what with the move and everything - do I have to get down on my knees? Repost it, gawaaaan gawaaan!
Wow! that Rubble mix is eccentric! and I thought Alastair had risked with Headlihghts! A big contrast with Something About You session. I'm so looking forward to the next two songs!
Hi Rich, Thanks for the add. Your songs have great energy. I’ll be coming to London from the States to perform in September. I’m still putting gigs together. Will then post my itinerary. Bob
