Hailing from the North East Victorian country side to the rustic North Carlton inner city, Richelle Boer is a singer/songwriter with a passion for more than just making music. Drawing from the alternative roots of Alanis Morisette and Jewel, and with a gift for writing warm and contrasting “stick in your head” choruses, there is originality and rawness to her style that keeps the listener keenly intrigued and wondering what’s on the cards next. Catch a live gig these days and you'll be treated to a fine acoustic performance of an ever expanding repertoire, Richelle recently performing alongside the likes of Aussie legends James Reyne, Mark Seymour, Vanessa Amorissi and Australian Idol survivor Mr Shannon Noll himself. With a captivating stage presence, she takes you through the ups and downs of her journey, catching you off guard by unpredictable hooks, breathy melodies and the slightest romance in her lyrics drawing you in & leaving you wanting for more. Currently a solo artist, depending on the day, Richelle has recently hooked up with a couple of organisations close to her heart hoping to use her music as a platform to speak for those in developing countries enslaved by the sex trade and the cycle of poverty and disability.
