    Richie Syrett is a singer/songwriter with a melodic yet ragged style which makes a grateful nod to a wide range of rootsy influences whilst retaining its own distinctive sound. His personal yet accessible songwriting carries with it both familiarity and originality and is characterized further by insightful and quirky lyrics which showcase his inimitable vocal. After a handful of raw recordings developed an appreciative audience, Richie independently released his first album. In spite of it being largely homemade, the record swiftly attracted an impressive number of new listeners and fans across all ages; stretching from the local murky waters of the Manchester Ship Canal to the muddy banks of the Mississippi and beyond. New songs have since been penned and time has been well spent recording in the studio (and again at home), and Richie's latest album Good Morning Midnight is due for release in early December. Make your own comparisons and draw your own conclusions but be sure to take note of an unaffected artist fast approaching their prime.
