I’ve been working in and around TV and radio comedy/ entertainment for roughly fourteen years and seven months.

It's all me. Although to be fair people like David Quantick, Dave Cohen, Matt Katz, Dave Lamb and a few others may beg to differ.

Richie Webb's Interests
General
I have an unconditional love for West Bromwich Albion.
Music
I'll listen to anything. And then steal it. Particularly if it's by The Beatles, Belle and Sebastian, Ben and Jason, Ben Folds, The Blue Aeroplanes, Duke Ellington, Ella Fitzgerald, Fats Domino, George Formby, Gilbert O'Sullivan, Matthew Sweet, Nick Drake, Ray Lamontagne, Rufus Wainwright, The Lilac Time, The House Of Love, The Stone Roses, Soulwax or Spiritualized. Oh and now that guilty pleasures are fashionable I'm happy to confess to owning everything by ELO. In multiple formats.
Movies
I have young children, so I usually drift off well before the credits. Films that I've enjoyed the first half hour of include Amelie, Delicatessen, Billy Liar, The Ladykillers, A Hard Day's Night and Oliver! Being the sad stereotypical student that I was I can still happily quote vast swathes of Withnail and I or This is Spinal Tap until physically restrained from doing so.
Television
The Two Ronnies, Porridge, Morecambe and Wise and Les Dawson from the past. Larry Sanders, The Simpsons, Early Doors, Curb Your Enthusisam and TV Burp from the present.
Books
Patrick Hamilton's 'Twenty Thousand Streets Under The Sky' is the only novel I've read three times. Ergo it be good.
Heroes
Cyrille Regis - every goal was a thing of rare beauty.
Ronnie Barker - simply a brilliant comic actor. Crap in the six-yard box, though, so Cyrille edges it.
Hello.
I am a three-headed beast. An actor, a comedy writer, and a composer. Occasionally all three heads work together - such as on my BBC Radio 4 series of 15 Minute Musicals - but more often than not, they work separately or in pairs.
I mostly work on BBC TV and radio comedy shows but if you have children of a certain age you may see my name cropping up on CBBC and Cbeebies. And you may find yourself humming an insanely irritating theme tune as a result. Sorry.
Past glories that I still like to go on about include composing all the songs for Goodness Gracious Me, performing live comedy every Saturday morning for two years on Live and Kicking, and being the ‘funny musical one’ in criminally overlooked Radio 4 sketch troupe The Cheese Shop.
Oh, and I've been in an episode of Chucklevision, so top that.
Who I'd like to meet: Pretty much anyone prepared to be my friend to be honest. In a virtual way only, though, clearly.

Here's a showreel of TV theme tunes I've written with Matt Katz...
Bit of a misunderstanding this week. Having heard that Gordon Brown supports staggering public sector pay rises the prison officers thought 'well doctors had one, maybe we could have one as well'.
Somewhere there's someone who's dreaming of your smile, and finds in your presence that life is worth while. So when you are lonely remember it's true, Somebody Somewhere is thinking of you!
The punting skills are, well, diabolical. In fact, I suspect that even though Ben nearly took me head off on numerous occasions that he's far far better than me.
Keep in touch... it'd be good to see you again soon.
Thanks for the add and if you were responsible for penning the song 'Hindi People' on Goodness Gracious Me (especially the radio show version), then your knighthood is long overdue.
