AN old 1986 Ibanez Proline and my aquired, slightly warped Epiphone acoustic,a portable Danelectro practice amp,a battered tin whistle and more imagination than one person should be permitted to have in one skull ;)

Far too many to list here as I was inspired to play by guitar from MOST genres of music!
Here's but a tiny few of them - Rory Gallagher, David Gilmour, Pauline Trouble, Michael Schenker, Junior Marvin, Ernest Ranglin, Albert King, Les Paul, Gary Moore, Richie Blackmore, Jimmy Page(acoustic work) Lighting Hopkins, Earl Hooker, Ry Cooder, Muhammed Suiçmez, Chuck Schuldnier, Uli Jon Roth, Robben Ford, Larry Carlton, Rocky George, Kendall Jones, Gary 'Dr Know' Miller, Vernon Reid..aww shoot the list will go on forever..lets just say anyone who plays guitar ok)
Current influences(you're NEVER too old to learn)include my guitar tutors Jim Perkins & Andy Mauafua (on my friends list) the guys from Scar Symmetry, Chris Thile(I need a mandolin to TRY to copy him properly but by the Goddess what a player!)Bob Stinson is a new influence even tho he's not with us right at this moment...a belated thanks to you Bob,your solo in Shut Up is one of my faves.

Click the text below for my youtube page k? Richie Isaacs aka Scaasi youtube page!!
Richie first started playing guitar at age of 14 as a way to deal with loss in his family, not really taking the guitar too seriously he was one day floored by a guitar solo from Eddie Van Halen guesting in Michael Jacksons hit 'Beat It' and decided to take it seriously, handing back his sisters much(and overly)used acoustic he traded his beloved BMX bike in for a cheap but serviceable Hondo Stratocaster copy and an often blown-up Alron amp and never looked back.
He started with the traditional school bands before being drawn into pub cover bands at the age of 18, often being smuggled in through back windows as he was too young to be in the establishment in question!
(A very important note to make about Richie's musical development was the introduction to his ears of Rory Gallagher's music, more on this in the blog above)
A self taught guitar player of 23 odd years he enrolled at Whitireia polytechnic early 2008 to further sculpt his craft and is already adding to his road taught chops under the expert eye of some of the countries top players(and damn nice people)
Richie has spent the bulk of his career playing in cover bands as well as the occasional original acts and occasional session work, Richie is available for most work and all sorts of genres are considered.
As well as studting music full time at Whititreia Polytechnic Richie has just joined a working band with the emphasis on original music...more news as that unfolds...
Richie also has a side-project with the wonderful Lynda W. Land (aka Pauline Trouble) which can be heard by clicking the profile 'Richie & Lynda' down in the top friends list.

Ever wondered what to do in the event of a nuclear threat?
A while ago I found stuff that inspired me to make this film:
Living Under the Shadow of the Nuclear Umbrella
Both artistic (ensure you get the background music!) and educational, it primarily comprises official British government civil defence advice.
Though source materials are quite aged, much remains relevant today.
