RICH MANGICARO currently resides in Los Angeles, working as the touring percussionist/vocalist for Glenn Frey of the Eagles, as well as performing & recording with his Jazz group - Bisquera Brothers. Previously holding the position of Artist Relations Director/Music Education Director for the Paiste Cymbal Company for 19 years, Rich brought such drum stars to the Paiste endorsement roster as Tool's Danny Carey, session master Curt Bisquera, Paul McCartney's Abe Laboriel Jr. and Josh Freese, drummer for Sting & Nine Inch Nails. Rich was also instrumental in the design, development and launching of Paiste's most innovative and top selling cymbal lines, use by millions of musicians today.

Originally from Syracuse, New York, Rich formed his first professional working band at age 16, a 50s rock band that coincided with the airing of the hit TV show "Happy Days", which resulted in recordings and tours all over the Northeastern States. By age 18, Rich was playing various shows with international recording artists The Drifters. At this same time, he began his college music studies, which resulted in a Bachelor of Music in percussion from the Crane School of Music at S.U.N.Y.-Potsdam, New York. Upon completion of his studies, he was awarded The Performers Certificate, the facultys recognition of his superior performance level. In 1986, Rich moved to Los Angeles where he began his work with the Paiste company, along with becoming more involved with performing & recording. In 1998, he began his work with Glenn Frey & Joe Walsh.

When not on the road with Glenn Frey, Rich performs with Universal recording artists Venice, as well as The Tubes and many other artists in Los Angeles. Rich also performed on Academy Award Winning actor Jeff Bridges' first musical endeavor, his debut CD entitled "Be Here Soon", produced by Bridges and Michael McDonald.
