The Phenomenauts are contacting you from the future. To make a long story short, Professor Greg has been practicing his video gaming skills on the Timewasterator. After beating the 1981 Capcom game "GALAGA", the screen went black and then red and then black again. That's when we were sucked into the Timewaisterator and transported into the future..... While in the future we saw all of you at the shows listed below. You danced to the new songs and all the Phenoma-gadgets worked, and since you brought all of your friends, you were the toast of the planet. After the show you bought a Phenomenauts T-Shirt with the new design, which landed you that high paying modeling contract. Now that we have told you what the future holds, don't mess around. Not going could create a time paradox, the result of which could cause a chain reaction that would unravel the very fabric of the space-time continuum and destroy the entire universe! Granted that's a worst case scenario. The destruction might in fact be very localized, limited to merely our own galaxy. The Future is in your hands....

Be Yr Own Hero Fest is an annual radical Do It Yourself (DIY) festival in Wilmington, NC.
It includes workshops, info sessions, awesome live music, rad art, free stuff, free food, lots of fun and friends from far away and close by!

Be Yr Own Hero is now accepting music, art, film, performance, fashion, zine/DIY/craft, and workshop/info session submissions. The deadline for submissions is June 19th, 2009.

I am angered that people are supporting building a stadium in Shockoe Bottom. YES it will create jobs, but we already have a stadium in Richmond. Why not tear down or refurbish it? That area is already expanding, why not create jobs in/by the old Richmond stadium. I guess ruining PREWAR buildings, traffic/parking, stores/restaurants, and nostalgia of Shockoe Bottom makes more sense...

I am writing to invite you to meet with others from around the region
interested in organizing against the Farmville immigrant detention center.
The meeting will be held from 6 - 8 pm on Sunday 11/9 at
Sacred Heart Church in Richmond, 1401 Perry St. We'll be in a small
building behind the church and will have signs to mark the way.
The national organization Grassroots Leadership has agreed to get
involved in this struggle and one of their organizers, Les Schmidt, will
be in attendance.

We will give an update on the organizing that has happened so far,
share any results we have gotten from our FOIA request by then, and
discuss the primary goal of stopping the prison from opening and
secondary goals like establishing an outside, independent review
board. We'll also have time to discuss ways this organizing can
support the work we are all already doing and expand/strengthen our
regional network for justice.
Please let me know if you can be there and if you have any
suggestions for the agenda.
