Body Adornment is an act of communication. It has always been an expression of self as well as a form of communication with others and to ourselves. In the modern day adornment still serves the same purpose. It tells our peers that we are individuals capable of expressing the fact that we live within our bodies and have control over our world. Be it piercing, tattooing, make-up, wearing your hair a certain way, or even putting on a purple suit, these are all acts of adornment. When we look in a mirror we make the decision about who we are and how we choose to have our peers perceive us.
I work to help those interested in a body piercing to make an informed decision, provide a safe, clean, procedure while providing the finest quality jewelry made today.
others can toot their horn, I've got the symphony to complement.
100% freehand piercing - no forceps to damage or traumatize the surrounding tissue of the piercing site.
100% disposable procedure - many piercers re-use equipment, this increases the risk of contamination from one client to the next. Everything that comes in contact with one client WILL NEVER be used for any procedure in the future.
No inferior jewelry materials - No steel. All steel contains nickel which many people can have allergic reaction to, the only way to ensure that metal allergies are not experienced is to use inert materials such as Titanium with a hand polished, mirror finish, 18k Gold, Borosilicate and Soda Lime Glass, and Teflon/PTFE. No Acrylic. Acrylic, in all it's forms is not fit to reside in the human body under and circumstance. The material known as "dental acrylic" is used to identify a plastic that is designed not to come into long-term contact with soft tissue. This material is not suitable for wear either.
Safe jewelry construction - Internally Threaded and Threadless jewelry are Barbells, Curved Barbells, and Circular Barbells that do not have threading on the barbell. With a threaded barbell the threading is passed through the fistula of the piercing and can cut the tissue during insertion and removal. Modern safe practice techniques require the use of Internally Threaded or Threadless jewelry to prevent this type of trauma to the tissue and helps ensure that your piercing remains healthy throughout it's life.
These steps are taken to provide the safest procedure possible. Anything else is sub-par.
