A 31 year old, who most would not have heard of? Described as against the trend but, with the flow.
Exceptional gruelling self criticism on his own material, to the point, it may sit on his hard drive for up to 2 or maybe 3 years, before he gets a kick up the backside from one of his friends to send it out (because it is good enough).
A DJ before he was a producer, but entering the industry and being recognised as a producer before a DJ.
Richard Seeley has been a DJ for over 10 years, only producing music on a serious scale for the last 4 years. Before that Richard declines it being serious because he didn’t send any material out.”It may have been written 4 years ago but was never intended to send out “. “It was for pleasure” Richard states. “I love writing music, but being so self-criticising I never felt satisfied with my productions”. “It was my good friend Andreas Georgiades that got me to sit and finish off the track OCD that VVWI recordings released in 2007. “My confidence was, and still is to a degree not very good”. “I find it very difficult to sit and listen to a track I’ve written, without wanting to change something, then, if I do I go off on a tangent and create a whole new idea”. “That’s why I could never finish a track.....It would sit on my hard drive and just become an Idea”.
Those Ideas are now getting finished off and sent to labels. A previous release on VVWI went well –

O.C.D. off of the Juicy Vermin EP on VVWI was played on KISS fm by TERRY FRANCIS on JOHN DIGWEED'S transitions show. And several other European stations like Dinamo 103.8 (turkey)

Having taken a generous year of creating Ideas and honing the production skills the confidence has become a sustained average-therefore productions are hitting the labels again.
Now with 2009 approaching spring Richard has a string of releases due out on various labels from a remix on Electric Sheep due out in March and releases out on VVWI recordings and Rek'd - Rekids new sister label!
Richard has been actively involved in music for 15 years, been throwing parties for 5 years under the guise of Juicy Vermin, mainly in Bedfordshire but occasionally in Poland with Andreas Georgiades - raw chugging deep house and techno is normally the order of the day/night and morning after and what you can expect from Richard’s sets and what he produces.
Having played at most of the London hotspots that are now gone and some that are still alive from , the key, the cross, turnmills, egg, corsica studios, rhythm factory playing alongside the likes of Tim Sheridan, Mr C, Shane Watcha, Hot chip etc….. Also being a regular in Lodz Poland at the OIOM Klub.
Loving the new tracks - Shrugg Binge has got a Marc Houle Bay of Figs vibe about it, well feeling that... Whipping lady is a sweet roller, would make a good mix companion to Hey Consuelo Sammin Mix with those weird tribal vox... nice squelchy synth on My Mate 8! Good work all round. We have a new batch of tracks coming soon, will send you as soon as we finish the buggers.
