There's not a pair of decks in any London club worth talking about that hasn't got RICH PACK's fingerprints on it. He first ignited his passion for DJing at 16, not even old enough to be cutting his teeth playing old balearic & house records in the grimiest clubs South London had to offer. The years have seen him play nearly every genre from house to tamla motown, funk, northern soul & ska right through to upfront indie & rock. He was the handpicked DJ of choice for The Quireboys tour & Classic Rock Magazine Awards where he played to Jimmy Page, Lemmy, Deep Purple & Arthur Brown among others, and for The Charlatans at their crammed show at the famed tap n tin, and was also the first to put on a rock n roll all dayer at the Notting Hill Carnival. Internationally Rich has done 3 tours of New York & Los Angeles, upon the first return he was offered residency at the highly acclaimed Dirty Sounds at Camden's Barfly. Now that chapter has closed his co-promoted night, JEZEBELS LUST, which has recently moved to the legendary 12 Bar Club in tin pan alley, saw Babyshambles play the launch as well as Mondo Generator (ex Queens of the Stoneage) hit it as the only London show on their European tour. It is famed for allowing under 18 bands showcase their material and is regularly frequented by EMI, UNIVERSAL & SONY/BMG A&R.
These days its onwards & upwards as he is seen regularly in many a club across London, & has monthly residencies in Birmingham as well as being firmly included as part of the families for SNUFF @ BARFLY and the hugely successful monthly night FIESTA @ 333
His skills as a remixer / producer have seen him get his hands on the Arctic Monkeys, Amy Winehouse, Metro Riots (RIP see Antlered Man) and more recently The Sea & LR Rockets.. of which is set for release on CTRL, ALT DELETE Records July 09.
Rich's pseudenym HECKLE injects Electro / House / Fidget into the music he produces & remixes, his track GET GRIMEY remixed by Nursery of Naughtiness made it on to JAY CUNNINGS KISS FM playlists and his latest rave flavoured tune DAMN! (Due for release) is doing the rounds in clubland as well as featuring on several mixtapes & podcasts
