On Your Kind Words, his debut album as a solo artist, Rich Schroder, singer songwriter from Boston, MA, demonstrates a flair for evocative entertainment as he portrays the human condition through his colorful characters and the circumstances that mold their destiny. The compelling irony of his songs draws the listener into his view of life through the unvarnished stories he creates. The recording comes primarily from the classic storytelling traditions of the great songwriters: Guthrie, Young, Dylan, Springsteen, and most recently reflected in contemporary writers like Ellis Paul and Ryan Adams. Your Kind Words is Schroders impressive introduction to a national audience, and a new cornerstone of his artistry.
Two shows this week. Wednesday (2/20) at Church of Boston and Sunday (2/24) at TOAD in Cambridge. I'll have a viola player with me during the TOAD show.
New short film coming out about my next CD:

My first effort is a naked, acoustic version of Tom Petty's 'King's Highway'... one of my favorites. I'll be playing it at Sweetwater but you can hear it on my page now. Thanks again for your encouragement. Scott

Fun night. Good to see so many familiar faces. I can't believe how long we pursued food. That diner grub felt good. I ate nothing today... on the bike and in the sun. Nice crooning.
