JUST SOME OF THE HIGH PRAISE accorded this 6 x ASCAP award-winning singer-songwriter from America. Rich Wyman is arguably one of the most powerful and passionate performers to appear on the live stage anywhere...anytime. With an unshakable character, and a pretense free persona not normally associated with rock musicians, Rich is as approachable as his music is emotional and thought provoking. You really can't help but be drawn into Mr. Wyman's world for the time you are within earshot of his music. Simply, truth speaks through the contact of fingers to keys to his unique vocal vibrations.
A little history. Rich studied classical piano and violin from the time he was five. After graduating from The High School For Performing Arts in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Rich moved to New York City, studying composition at The Manhattan School Of Music and New York University. He worked in recording studios and played live shows in New York City for eight years before relocating to Park City, Utah after a ski trip.
The 90's found Rich and Eddie Van Halen working together at Eddie's 5150 Studio in Los Angeles. Along with Andy Johns, engineer of Led Zeppelin & Rolling Stones fame, they produced what was to become the foundation of Rich's second album, "Fatherless Child". His work with Van Halen broke radio in Europe and Rich signed with a Dutch record company. His next album produced two TOP 40 hits and resulted in dozens of tours, TV and radio appearances, and concerts including Park Pop in The Hague for over 350,000 people.
In 2005 Rich released his 5th CD FACTORY and in 2007 EMBRACE, a DVD/CD combo. Rich has opened concerts for Alanis Morisette, The Goo Goo Dolls, and Bryan Adams and more.
In life, Wyman has championed causes ranging from nuclear testing protests to peace rallies; he co-founded Park City For Peace and has been a leader in the peace movement ever since. Understandably, Rich finds a lot of his inspiration in, and to the benefit of, the human cause.
