All kinds, but especially jazz and classic rock. I love the jazz that came out of the 1950's and early 1960s, such as Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Dizzy Gillespie, Thelonius Monk, Sonny Rollins, Wes Montgomery, Dexter Gordon, Joe Henderson and Dave Brubeck. Some of my classic rock favorites are The Beatles, Paul Simon, The Doors, Led Zepellin, Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones, Credence Clearwater Revival, The Eagles, Linda Ronstadt, Jefferson Airplane, The Beach Boys, etc. I enjoy anything with a social conscience, whether the folk music of Woody Guthrie and Bob Dylan or the working class protests of Bruce Springsteen. I like a lot of 80s music such as U2, REM, Van Halen, etc. And I'm a huge Parrothead -- Jimmy Buffett rocks! I like just about anything but rap and disco.

Television
My television viewing tends toward movies, sports, documentaries, arts, etc. I watch almost no network television, but I absolutely love the BBC Sci-Fi program Doctor Who. And I love those old Monty Python's Flying Circus shows.
Which Monty Python are you?
You're... Eric Idle!Because you are polite and random, you fit Eric Idle's personality the best. You never get angry and rarely raise your voice, but you are really random. Take this quiz!
I love Douglas Adams' "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" trilogy. The spy thrillers of John Le Carre are terrific. Stephen King is a favorite. Also great authors such as Mark Twain, Ernest Hemingway, John Steinbeck, Jane Austen, George Orwell, Ray Bradbury, etc. The poetry of Pablo Neruda, Dylan Thomas, Walt Whitman, Seamus Heaney and others.
You're One Hundred Years of Solitude!
by Gabriel Garcia Marquez Lonely and struggling, you've been around for a very long time.
Conflict has filled most of your life and torn apart nearly everyone you know. Yet there
is something majestic and even epic about your presence in the world. You love life all
the more for having seen its decimation. After all, it takes a village.

Heroes
Mohandas Gandhi, who brought the British Empire to its knees by leading a movement of nonviolent social protest. He should serve as an inspiration to a world that badly needs someone like him today.
Most of all my heroes are the simple people of the world, especially those in Third World countries, who struggle every day to keep their farms or small businesses afloat or who labor to provide for themselves and their families. These are the heroes of our daily lives.
About me: I'm a writer who enjoys great films, great books, art, bicycling, sports, travel and good conversation. You should probably know that I'm an incurable flirt! Don't ever think I'm not being sincere though. If I tell you that you are beautiful, I mean it. I'm friendly, I'm usually funny and I think I have a good heart. I'm also very sensitive (I'm always crying over movies -- I'm such a girlie man!) and a hopeless romantic (I love kissing and cuddling and old romantic films). I was once deeply in love, even on the verge of marriage, but I'm not looking for anything like that for the foreseeable future. I'm more into friends with benefits or just plain friends right now. I also tend to be a good listener. I love dogs (all animals, really).
I'm a vegetarian. I'm spiritual, but don't care for religious fundamentalism (no offense to you religious fundamentalists as I was raised Southern Baptist myself, but found that they spent so much time going around talking about Jesus that they didn't actually stop to listen and consider what he actually had to say). I've been studying Buddhism and trying to practice the tenets. I believe it has helped me to bring more balance into my life and achieve more peace of mind. But whatever religion you are -- or aren't -- is fine with me. I respect everyone's beliefs. I'm creative and try to think outside the box whenever possible. I love anything artistic. I try to paint and draw some and I wish I could paint like Renoir or even Andy Warhol, but I can't. I'm much better at writing and photography. I do love museums, though, and can spend hours viewing the French Impressionists or the traditional cultural art, especially from Japan and China.
Who I'd like to meet: Interesting women from around the world. I enjoy meeting people from different cultures and I always enjoy the company of smart, attractive women with good hearts.
Yo hablo un poquito espanol. I am trying to improve my Spanish and am quite interested in Latin America, especially Costa Rica, which is my favorite place in the entire world (at least of the places I have been so far). In fact, I once intended to spend the rest of my life there, but it didn't work out (long story). But I would love to travel through Mexico and South America someday, so I would enjoy having friends in those places.
I'm also quite enchanted by Asian culture, both traditional and modern. Of course, those of you in Asia are farther away from me, but someday I hope to make it down your way as well as to Australia and New Zealand. I suppose if I won the lottery I would buy a boat and spend the rest of my life sailing around the southern hemisphere from South America, to Australia, Japan, China and every other stop along the way.
If you are artistic (a painter or an actor, for instance), or if you are someone who selflessly devotes yourself to others, you're likely to capture my imagination. Of course, the best way to capture my imagination is simply to be a nice person with a good heart.

It is almost Mother's Day. This year you can share your love with the women in your life and help the orphans and widows of Kenya and Uganda at the same time. Get a Mother's Day card from Bless the Children and the proceeds go to help the orphans and widows of Africa.

Just in time for March Madness, WVUTalk. com has a cool new poster up for sale on the website. Its a parody of the famous Obama "Hope" poster, this time with Mountaineer Coach Bob Huggins taking his place. 11x17 Prints are available for $25.
Ever wondered what to do in the event of a nuclear threat?
A while ago I found stuff that inspired me to make this film:
Living Under the Shadow of the Nuclear Umbrella
Both artistic (ensure you get the background music!) and educational, it primarily comprises official British government civil defence advice.
Though source materials are quite aged, much remains relevant today.
I encourage all to visit the YouTube page to learn more (Show support! Rate! Comment!) and responsibly circulate as widely as possible, here: http://www. youtube. com/watch?v=UaIim3Rj7L4
