kayaking, VJ'ing, hanging with friends (esp. when there's beer involved ;), long walks, smoking cigars and remembering my pal Chip.
Music

i dig a lot of sci-fi stuff--and have a special spot in my left aorta for the older flicks--the cheesier the special effects, the better!
i'm a little bit too big on the godzilla franchise. it borders on creepy...
Television
LOST, the X Files, Invader Zim, Ren and Stimpy, the Simpsons, Samurai Jack, Late Show with David Letterman... Pushing Daisies, Fringe, Heroes
Books
duh... the Bible, Mere Christianity & The Great Divorce by C.S. Lewis. dug Searching for God Knows What and Blue Like Jazz by Donald Miller... haven't done much reading in the past year-or-so tho'
Heroes
Jesus, Chip Stewart, Chris Salisbury, and Gir (everyone's favorite robot/dog--see also Invader Zim)
About me:
i don't have a life, but i do paddle around in a kayak a lot*. sometimes when i'm paddling i take way too many random pointless photos. i like messing around with video stuff and making trippy background loops. every now & then i mix video junk to live music and/or DJ sets. just started a new job at cypress consulting (i'm an interactive developer there). i met a lot of great friends at my past job... i was a motion graphic designer at screenlife (they make SceneIt? + some other shtuff) for 4 years.

Hey there! Yep, I'm caught up on my rest and feeling pretty good. I really dread going back to work. I can't wait till I don't have to work there anymore. We had a huge riot at one of our other prisons here in CA. I want to be out before my luck runs out. Europe was great. I liked Denmark, Germany, Finland, and Sweden best. Russia was alright, but Estonia wasn't much. I could definately have skipped that one. Brandy and I want to save up and go on our own hopefully sometime next year. I really want to get back to Sweden and have more time with the family. Your summer plans all sound pretty good. I believe that you have to make time to enjoy things because as we both know now, life is fragile. Losing my son Chad, and then Chip has made me realize that I really want to get out there and experience life. Sometimes we are too cautious, worried about work and money, and then we never get out there and explore. I want to live a full life. We only get one chance. Okay, I will stop my rambling. Enjoy the rest of your summer.
Just got back in the good ole US on the 14th. The sad thing is that I didn't have time to really check Swden out, but I did get to meet the family, and boy was that great. They speak perfect english, which really helps. I have litterally waited my whole life to meet this part of the family, so needles to say, I am thrilled. They are really excited too. We can't wait to get together again. They are wanting to come to America, and if we go back there, they want us to stay with them...cool! The cruise didn't give us enough time there, but it was neat to visit all the other countries. I can now say that I have been to 7 countries, and 3 states in the last 2 and a half weeks...exhausting. Let's see, there was England, Denmark, Germany, Estonia, Russia, Finland, and Sweden. The states were Arizona, Illinois and Colorado. I need a vacation just to recover. I'm still in AZ right now, spending time with the family, and dreading the long drive back to CA. Hope all is well with you. Write soon.
Well, it sounds as if you have been having fun. I have been slowly going broke, as the Governor keeps adding furlough days to state workers like me. We have 3 right now with a possible 4th on the horizon. It really sucks. I just lost a friend to cancer yesterday. He was an officer where I work, but he had been out fighting the cancer for the last few years. I was so bummed. Here is some exciting news though. I am leaving for Sweden day after tomorrow. My dad is taking my brother and I to Sweden to introduce us to our family. He's worried that without our generation meeting each other, that the family will lose touch. I am so excited and so nervous too. I have to get back to my packing, so I will talk to you later. Take care.
That would be amazing! Ha Ha I really like the whole black and white checkered floor in kitchens though. When I had my own kitchen I dreamed of having a floor like that. My kitchen was all black, white and red, retro, coca cola nonsense.
omg. haha. you're moving? so am i. i JUST went to get my keys and do the inspection, and i saw your pics up. i've got tons of crap on craigslist and am just.... aaahhh! total packrat here as well. glad to know i'm not alone.... !!!! i cannot seem to bring myself to part with any of my books!!!
Boy am I slow!! I just got around to checking out the Ghostly swim site today, and hey!...I really like it. Thanks. I always find it kind of neat how other people can lead you to interesting things that you may have never discovered on your own. Anyway, we are all hanging in there pretty good. Hope you are too.
i am happy that 09 is sucking less for you. :) what kind of job is it? are you enjoying it? i am enjoying the meltation of the blankets and blankets of snow that have covered the ground for the past 4 months.....it snowed a disgusting amount this year. lol.
always remember to bring a lifejacket on your kayaking adventures.
Hellloooooooooooooo :) Yes, may 2009 bring sunniness and joy into all our lives. Poo on the darkness....er....ew....that just gave me a really terrible mental picture that I will refrain from sharing with you. HAHA
Well it has been an eventful past few days actually. I am in my last semester ( at school) of nursing school. So Im a little frazzled. I decided to take a leave of absence from work...and then my roomate decided she was moving out, gave her noticed and had all her stuff packed and out of here within 24 hours. lol. CRAZZAAAHHHHHHH. Its all okay now though. God works things out quite nicely. I recently accquired a boyfriend. When I marry him you can come and do a chicken dance for all the guests. HAHA!!! :) I hope that things are going well for you and have improved and such. Bless your heart ricky. Have fun with the kayak voyages. Wear waterproof pants!!! ~las neeshas xo :)
