Big gig for Rusty Strings coming up... We're playing at The Wedgewood Rooms in Southsea on Wednesday 8th July. It's a battle of the bands with a chance to win recording, etc. It's decided by judges and audience votes so we need as many people there as possible to help us out. Doors are at 8pm and we're on second. Tickets cost £5 and if you give us a message we can sort out dropping one off to you. Hope you can make it :)

Stupid question right? As of 2nd April 2009 I’ll be organising monthly acoustic sessions at what remains one of Southampton’s best-loved venues. I’m looking for the best solos and duos to play 45 minute sets of original material, covers or both. The only ‘rule’ is that you play quality stuff, so if you’re sick of banging out Mustang Sally this could be for you! The evenings will run from 8pm until 11pm with 3-4 acts performing each time, so well worth coming to if you also enjoy hearing other people’s music. Please let me know asap if you’d like to be part of it!
There’s so much great talent in this town, I’m sure we can make this a really cool night. I would really appreciate your support in giving Southampton a superb acoustic music night that will last! :o)
Hi Chris, and thanks for an excellent set on Friday. It was a cracker! You definitely made some new friends judging from what people were saying after the show. Hope you had a good trip back, and look forward to doing it all again in due course. Keep in touch. All the best, Kev
Hi Chris, Thanks for the add :) Really good gig last night! See you soon, probably somewhere between Newcastle and Portsmouth. Steve Take a look at my video of The Writing on the Wall from my acoustic album, Beyond the Blues. Quote from the wall: ‘The wearing of this garment does not enable you to fly’. Thanks again, Steve
