Welcome to the Official Rick Finch MySpace Page. This site is maintained by both Rick and his manager. Rick picks up all of the messages he receives here and all responses are from him personally.
Rick is renowned worldwide as the co-founder / bassist / songwriter / producer of the 1970's mega-group "KC and the Sunshine Band" - but today, he's probably best known for his work 'behind the scenes,' carrying on his legacy of excellence in the studio on projects such as the Mike Myers/Austin Powers "Goldmember" soundtrack and "Me, MySelf and I" for R&B superstar, Beyonce.
With a loyal worldwide following of both long-time and new fans, the music that Rick had a hand in creating lives on, now more than 30 years later. The music industry has been generous as well, bestowing numerous accolades, awards and nominations:

Richard, thanks for the request...I really loved the old "KC & the Sunshine" tunes...danced to quite a few of the songs in my life. Wonderful to have you as a friend. Peace & Love.
Thanks so much, Richard, what a delight to meet you here after so many years of enjoying the music you've created. I can remember the first time I heard KC and the Sunshine Band, it was on my friends AM/FM radio (battery operated) in a "fort" we built between our houses. It was like nothing either of us had ever heard before. Then it was, "Mom, turn it up please!" on drives to the beach with 8-10 girls singing "That's The Way" at the top of their lungs in the back of a (huge) pea-green station wagon. Thanks for the great memories, and all the extraordinary music. It stands the test of time, and is just as vibrant and exciting today as the first time I heard it. It is wonderful that you are still making music and producing/arranging, you've got the muse for sure! Take care, Stacy Tuttle CAMPAIGN FOR CARE & SKINNY TIE BAND
