I tell stories. Some of them are fictional, some are autobiographical, and some are even old-school folk tales, but they all have characters with real personalities and real problems. I like to tell stories that explore personal growth and self-acceptance, issues that are important in my own life. Funny yet meaningful, these stories are told with energy and accented by songs and movement.
"Huddle is an engrossing presence. His observations about relationships are refreshingly universal for audiences of all sexual orientations. As an added bonus, he brings a surprisingly strong physicality to the stage with his lithe movements.
"My only complaint: I wasn’t ready to leave when the show ended. I could’ve listened to this guy for hours." - Just Out Weekly
"Rick Huddle is the Hoover vacuum of storytellers--he just sucks you right in."- Marc Acito, author of "How I Paid for College"
“Rick Huddle’s stories and storytelling reveal a deep sense of joy that compassionately explore the frailty of the human experience. Humorous, kindhearted, and rooted in personal experience, Rick holds up a mirror in which we can see ourselves and smile.” – Olga Sanchez, Artistic Director, Miracle Theater Group
