Bio:

Producer Rick Hughes got his start when his good friend Shawn played him an original record to a Tribe Called Quest Track, he went crazy!!! Shawn taught Rick how to find records that no one had used before and how to put his own creative spin on each sample. From then on Richard began to get his inspiration from the church and merged it with Hip Hop music. After High School Richard decided that it was time put his music out, he then formed the production team,The Beat Makers, made up of three members: Donte Cooper, William Seigner and Rick himself. " We had our shit recorded low budget but hey at least we got noticed!" says Rick. They got noticed alright, later that year the Beat Makers opened for Ciara, performed in front of Kanye West and had a show at the House of Blues in Anaheim. "We had an altercation with our management so we had to you know fall back a little so thats when I started working on my brothers shit" says Rick "But we're still gonna make another beat maker album soon, now we're just tryin to sell music, sell beats and we'll see how far that takes us".
