All sorts, really. I love the Blues, in it's many styles, but also some Rock, Soul and 70's Glam Rock. I am pretty open minded, if I like it then great, it doesn't have to be any particular band or genre.
Filmler
Casablanca is my favourite movie of all time.
I also love things like the Leslie Nielson stuff, with lots of silly gags. I also like some Sci Fi, I enjoy the escapism and creativity. And horror movies, things that really shit me up.
Televizyon
I love things like 24 but also enjoy anything with a good story like, such as Life on mars or stargate. I like some comedy, especailly stuff that is satirical.
I got my name in lights with notcelebrity.co.uk
Thanks for visiting my site! I am a busy gigging drummer based in the Northwest of England, just North of Manchester. My main gig is with The Nick Bold Band (www.nickbold.com). I also am the drummer in Cuillin Blue (http://www.cuillinblue.com/) both bands are immense fun. I have also been helping out Nick Dow, the DJ off BBC Radio Lancashire who hosts the Lancashire Blue Notes on Sunday Night at 9 PM.
My recent gigs include The Roach Twins Band who play the National Blues Club Circuit and prestigious festivals in Europe. In the recent past I have played in my own Chicago Blues project called Ov8 and I also with Stone Park, a rock/blues originals band from Manchester. I started my drumming career by playing the old time strict tempo ballroom dance halls, progressing through a series of covers bands playing around the North Manchester circuit.
I have played all over the UK, from Aberdeen down to Bognor Regis and have played in France, Spain, Portugal and Denmark.
My first break was when I gigged with Robert Lucas just before he joined Canned Heat. I have since played with some of my 70's hero's, have played in some top quality local bands and also toured with Joanna Connor, a fantastic guitarist from Chicago.
Blues and Soul are my favourite musical styles. I have played at some huge Blues Festivals and am able to adapt quickly to the needs of event organisers for main stages or playing venues on the trail circuit.
I am also experienced at meeting the demands of the more formal approach needed for cabaret clubs, Working Mens / Political party clubs as well as Masonic Lodges and Corporate Functions. I love playing for parties & weddings. (Not just for the free food!)
I cover a wide variety of musical styles, obviously Blues and Soul, but can play Rock 'n' Roll, Pop music, 60's 70's 80's and the more modern chart material. Playing to a click track is no problem, if that is required. I have a large range of drums and cymbals so that I am able to quickly create a sound for the Recording Studio and can work quickly in that environment.
I also pride myself on having clean and reliable quality equipment so that I can arrive at a venue on time, set up with a minimum of fuss and achieve a good sound. To that end, I have invested heavily in top of the range professional equipment that I keep well maintained and regularly tune the drums (all 3 kits!) for their best sound.
Having played in Glam Rock bands, Cabaret bands, Soul bands, Blues bands, Rock bands, I can manage most styles of playing and can still play the Strict Tempo Ballroom style as well. I enjoy the challenge of sitting in with a band to help them out if their regular drummer is not available and work hard to do a good job. This is usually an equal mixture of great fun and total fear but I have worked hard at learning songs (if I get the chance) and also can busk reasonably well. I’m lucky in that I tend to remember songs once I have learned them and when sometimes I never know what is going to happen next I can listen very hard to fit in. To that end, I have been lucky enough to sit in with The Carbs and The Rumours – two noted high quality bands in my area.
As if all that isn't enough, I am very proud to be assosiated with BluesMatters! magazine. I review Cd's and nterview Blues artists for them. It is a field I am developing and really enjoying doing
