Rick Love started his Djing in the Philippines back in his hometown in Roxas City after his High School. He started as a DJ in one of the local FM Station. He started as a New Waver (likes New Wave music) until breakdancing was the in thing where he started to appreciate Old School Rap Music and started to learn Breakdancing and Rapping. He started mixing in a local FM Station.
As years passed by early 1990's Rick Love met Anthony Cruz (aka David Cross) who has a passion of mixing also and both formed a group named "Asiatic Dj's" together with Philip Licanto (DJ Slash) and Rommel Gonzales (Speedy G.) which paved way for them to have a residency in Mariano's Grill & Bar with the help of Don Sotelo (Radio Prog. Dir./DJ). Rick Love and the rest of the Asiatic DJ's made a mark of their own around the party circuit.
In 1998, Rick Love was offered by Don Sotelo a timeslot in another FM Station, and by the following year Rick Love was OIC Programming Director where he promoted Dance Music and brought in the Asiatic DJ's every Friday and come up with a format that mostly clubbers hooked their radio every Friday night. Rick Love and the rest of the Asiatic Dj's (David Cross, DJ Slash & Speedy G.) burned the airwaves by doing "LIVE Mixes in Radio every Friday.
Rick Love together with the Asiatic DJ's partied around a lot of Clubs & Bars from different places where they mostly played House, Trance, Tribal/Percussion, R&B,Retro 80's and Slowdrag.
In 2003 Rick Love had his last residency in "Club Bwana" at Barcelo Sarabia Manor Hotel & Convention Center in IloIlo City and it was just a short stay for before the end of 2003 Rick Love went to the U.S. to permanently stay for good.
As of this time, Rick Love is a freelance DJ available for Club Gigs & Private Parties around Downtown Los Angeles & Hollywood Area. As the saying goes...A DJ is always a DJ for life.
