A former professional musician who played several instruments on stage, I now write songs in Nashville. I'm also a widely-published, award-winning professional freelance writer, and the Nashville correspondent for TONEAudio music magazine; I’ve been published in countless magazines and newspapers and two Chicken Soup for the Soul books. I’ve also been involved in the music business for 30+ years in nearly every capacity you can name, working in one area or another with such acts as Los Lobos, the Flecktones, Wayne Newton, David Grisman, the old Tonight Show Band and many others. Worked for years in radio as a classical and jazz announcer, newsman and Christian talk show host. And I’m the only person I know in Nashville who was on the Gong Show (got gonged by Casey Kasem’s wife).
