    rick nowels is a grammy/ivor novello winning songwriter/producer. he started playing guitar/ piano and writing songs at 13 years old. sang his original songs in a duo with his best friend in high school. attended the university of california at berkeley. completed 3 years of a music degree. dropped out to musically direct/write songs for sam shepard's "tooth of crime" in san francisco. formed band "the dadas" with naomi eisenberg formerly of dan hick and his hot licks. played lot's of gigs. left band. formed "the red pencils". played even more gigs. left band/moved to new york city. stevie nicks recorded rick's song "i can't wait". rick produced 5 songs on her record "rock a little" with jimmy iovine. this led to rick's first full album production "heaven on earth" by belinda carlilse. had 3 big hits "heaven is a place on earth", "circle in the sand" and "i get weak". since then rick has had over 50 hit singles. ....selected hits... ....I Can't Wait.
