Singer-songwriter-musician Rick Rutti debuts his fresh new sound in his newly released CD. Rick’s sounds recalls the melodious feel reminiscent of 70’s rock-&-roll – a time when sex was safe and gas was cheap. Starting in Cleveland, OH, Rick’s musical career, spanning nearly three decades, has included everything from performing in rock-&-roll bands to solo performances to his involvement in San Diego’s musical theater scene. You can feel the passion and focus in the opening lines of his haunting ballad “Cry For You” Rick’s heartfelt performance of “Anymore” brings back a sound reminiscent of early Elton John; his vocal harmonies are enhanced by the beautiful string arrangements of producer Stephen O’Connor. The laid back groove of “So Much For Words” is lyrical payback song to an ex-lover for promises unkept.
