I've been singing and performing professionally now since 1996.
I've always performed Elvis songs in my shows but it's only since 2007 i decided to take it a step further by putting a tribute together.
It's something i've always wanted to so finally built up the courage to do so.
Even though i was born 11 months after Elvis died, i grew up listening to him.
My Dad was a huge Elvis fan and i always used to ask him to put an Elvis record on. I just loved the sound of Elvis' voice and it still affects me today like it did back then.
I love each era of Elvis' music, my favourite being when he made his return to live performing in Las Vegas. For me 1969-70 was when Elvis was at his best but it's his music from the 1950's early 60's that i specialise in. My voice seems naturally pitched for this era. I still love to sing his songs from the Vegas days and you can hear a couple on my music player at the top of the page.
Since i started performing Elvis as a tribute i've entered 2 contests. The first being 2007 in the UK heats of "The Ultimate Elvis Contest" which was and still is sponsored by Elvis Presley Enterprises. I was amazed to be placed in the final and even more amazed to come away with the Title of Best 50's Elvis which i thought was certain to go to Paul Molloy (now one of my best Friends)
I also entered the annual "Walk a golden mile in my shoes contest" in Jan of 2008. Again i made the final but this time wasn't placed, i did however come away with the title of "Best gospel Elvis" after my performance of "You'll never walk alone" in the Gospel Contest.
I was also invited on to the BBC1 show "The worlds greatest Elvis" which was eventually won by Shawn Klush
It's been a great start for me as an ETA, i'm just glad i have the chance to get on stage to sing the songs of the guy who influences me most.......Elvis Presley
