BIO
IN THE BEGINING...
I grew up isolated and away from the Real World in the sleepy town of Riverwoods, Illinois But growing up, my favorite music was harsh, urban hip-hop. That's what you hear in my music. It's a mix of my small town roots and urban role models.
SMALL MIRACLES...
After high school, I went to military school in Philadelphia, PA. There, I broke the novicular bone which is the smallest bone in the body but takes the longest to heal because it only has 1 blood vessel. During this time, with no other way to channel my energy, anger, pain and feelings, writing became my passion.
LA...
After Junior College in Philly, I went to school in Azusa, Ca just outside LA. There, I turned my radio production class into my first hip hop endeavors. I wrote a song for the Powder Puff Girls Football team I coached. When I saw how the girls and the students reacted to it, I was hooked. From then on, I knew I wanted to become a song writer and performer. I left school to pursue a career in music with only 7 classes left to finish.
THE CHI...
Heading back to the Chi, I started from the ground up building my team and gaining experience. I released my first solo album in 2006 called "Untied" and gained local and regional success opening up for acts like Common, The Roots, The Flobots and many more.
THE DARK AGES...
After creative and personal difference with my first team in the CHI, I walked away and went on to write my biggest single to date, “Dear Shooter.” My follow up single, "Rush" was picked up by 3 TV shows. These 2 songs carried me through 2008. I call this year the dark ages because I almost gave up, went broke, saw my family loose it all and lost the love of my life. These songs kept finding their own successes, carrying me through the dark ages in which I had little, if no resources, to continue making music.
THE RECESSION...
The recession affected the world and my family was not spared. I saw my parents loose almost everything. After renting out their home, they moved into a small apartment in a very small town, Lake Bluff, Illinois. Oddly enough, my parents misfortune was about to become the biggest break in my career.
FATE & NEIGHBORS...
They say that God work in mysterious ways and I must agree. I moved in with my parents after breaking up with my girlfriend. I decided to rebuild, save and make some moves before I left the nest... again. After parting ways with my first producers and struggling to find some one to help develop my new sound, Fate stepped in. It turned out my new next door neighbor was Matt Jenkins, a struggling but super talented producer with a production studio in his basement.
BRUCE WILLIS...
Together, Matt and I started Junkyard Productions, an indie label/production team. Using his super talents of production and design and my talents of song writing and self promotion, we hit warp speed in 2009 getting 6 songs placed on TV including MTV, WB, HD.net, Fox Sports and more. We created several wildly successful theme songs for professional wrestlers that are heard around the world. Our single "Rush: Rock Remix" was chosen for the TV theme song for Ring of Honor Wrestling on HDnet. We just started with new management Hilel Frankel of novo.net and released my new EP, "The Dash". Through an insane amount of hard work, faith, and perseverance things have changed and finally my future seems hopeful! So for all you reading and listening, keep dreaming and never give up. Like Bruce Willis would do “Die Hard!”

alright, so people always say happy hump day for Wednesdays. I think its just as strange to say happy Uphill on Tuesdays, or happy Downhill on Thursdays, but i've never ever seen or heard anyone wish that. -Brandon
