About me: (RIDE FOR OUR HEROES)
Hello,
My name is Eric Luttrell and I am in the United States Air Force currently stationed at Macdill AFB in Tampa Florida. I recently had the honor to serve my country in Afghanistan where a few of my brethren gave the ultimate sacrifice. In their honor this August I will be raising money for the Children of Fallen Soldiers Relief Fund by cycling from Patrick AFB Florida, to Arlington National Cemetery Virginia. The organization was founded in October 2003 as a means for providing college grants and financial assistance to surviving children and spouses of our U.S. Military service members who have lost their lives serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. I have chosen to end my journey at Arlington National Cemetery to pay tribute to the men and women of our Country who gave their lives so we can remain a free nation. Your donation to the Children of Fallen Soldiers Relief Fund would be appreciated and is a great way to give back to our fallen heroes who gave so much. If interested in donating to this important cause visit http://www.yourcause.com/rideforourheros , http://www.cfsrf.org (Children of Fallen Soldiers Relief Fund), or http://www.myspace.com/rideforfallenheros.
(In Flanders Fields)
In Flanders fields the poppies blow/
Between the crosses, row on row,/
That mark our place; and in the sky/
The larks, still bravely singing, fly/
Scarce heard amid the guns below./
We are the Dead. Short days ago/
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,/
Loved and were loved, and now we lie,/
In Flanders fields./
Take up our quarrel with the foe:/
To you from failing hands we throw/
The torch; be yours to hold it high./
If ye break faith with us who die/
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow/
In Flanders fields./
