So I would have to say that makes me a ....
~ "OLD SCHOOL RIDER" ~
I have been a BIG fan of AMA and Moto GP motorcycle road racing for over 29 years. So if theres a race on the tube then I’m stuck like glue even to this day.
Yet I can remember back in the day when motorcycle road racing really was not as BIG as it is today and a few of my friends and I would get together to watch the MOTO GP races at my house every week.
We all had our favorite teams and riders that we would cheer for and sometimes it got a little crazy but was fun as hell. ;-)
Of course my team was "Team Pepsi Suzuki" and
I was always pulling for my "HERO" and my mentor,
Kevin Schwantz to win every race !!!!
I was still pulling for him to win even after Pepsi dropped their MOTO GP sponsorship and Lucky Strike came on board to back him up in his quest to become a MOTO GP World Champion.
With Lucky Strike’s help and Kevin's never say die attitude not only would he become a MOTO GP World Champion he would also become a
"Motorcycle Road Racing Legend"!!!!
Schwantz, you are the "MAN" and my "HERO" ,
in more ways then one !!!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I also use to do stunts back in the day but my body does not heel as fast anymore.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So now I just kinda roll around corners and enjoy my time in the saddle, :-)

Hello my name is JC, (a.k.a XCELR8R) and I'm an Alcoholic, oh wait sorry wrong site, I mean I'm ahh, motorcycle junkie, yea that's it a motorcycle junkie, hehehe,LOL. Come on that's funny...
Yea I have a sense of humor, it's a kind of strange one but I do have one none the less...
OK back to biz..
Well I have been riding motorcycles for 37 years of which 27 have been spent on the street. My entire life has been spent working around motorcycles, which illustrates my passion for riding. I use to ride and drag race a GSX-R 1100 in the 80's - 90's. I now ride a 2001 Hayabusa and a 2005 GSXR 1000 on the street. Additionally, I have competed in several track days at Laguna Seca, Thunder Hill and Willow Springs Raceways on a GSX-R 750, GSX-R 1000 and a Hayabusa. For many years, I have coached friends on safety, closing speeds, lean angles, braking points, body and eye positioning, counter steering, and more. I always emphasize to ride smart and that nothing replaces seat time to gain experience. I’ve witnessed terrible things happen to other riders that could have been avoided if the rider had known what to do to get out of it.!!!!!!!
However, in order to avoid accidents, there are a few things to remember : “Ride Smart” and learn how to safely control your motorcycle and most of all have fun. The more fun you have when you ride the more you will want to ride, thus giving you more riding experience and experience or seat time is what makes you better rider. So ride as much as you can !!!
I have more miles on my body than I can even count. Four cars and a one-ton truck have hit me ; yet, I still ride. I feel there is nothing better than going on a ride, alone or with friends. When riding alone, I can practice new techniques and review old ones to stay sharp and learn to be ready for anything. When riding with other riders, whom have been around and logged several miles, I gain experience.
I can ask them questions and learn from them, as they are still alive. Therefore they must be doing something right. I have lost 23 friends over the years, and I feel if I can help a fellow rider to stay alive, then I will try my best to help them in anyway I can.
I love to ride motorcycles and have put approximately 100,000 ( street / mountain / track ) miles on my Hayabusa alone in just five years. Now that I can do what I love, and help others learn this “Art Form”, then I'm there.
I live by this quote :
“No hour of life spent in the saddle is ever wasted”.!!
~ Winston Churchill ~
Why am I here ?
Lets see, I’m just kind of rolling through life right now on two wheels trying to avoid all the drama in the world. So a friend told me about this site so I thought I would post here and just maybe meet someone cool to ride or hang out with. Who knows just may run into some old friends too ?
For those that don't know me, I’m an Ex- Motorcycle Rider Coach that still just LOVES to ride even after training 600 new riders in less then 2 years.
Man I LOVED coaching newbies ;-).
Any how, most of my life has been spent around motorcycles and fast cars.
So I spend some of my free time restoring old school muscle cars with a good friend of mine and then selling them or even racing them.
OK, I really live in the saddle so I just recently decided to start my own motorcycle web site AboutBikes.
AboutBikes
As well as started a motorcycle tour biz in Central California. CentralCaiforniaMotorcycleTours
I hope to have both of them up and going before April 2007.
I guess to sum it up, I’m just a laid back sport bike rider that restores old muscle cars during the winter when its to cold / wet out side to ride on the street. Who am I kidding, when it rains we ride dirt. LOL.
I have recently written a book titled :
“Learning To Ride 101”
After coaching / helping “NEW RIDERS” for more then 20 years, I have taken the most common problems and asked question from former students / friends and wrote a book on how to help them understand the basics riding skills need to ride a motorcycle safely.
This book was written so that anyone that was interested in riding a motorcycle could obtain the knowledge needed to get started the right way.
Inside this book you will find all the knowledge needed
to help you pass any motorcycle safety course as well as help you become a safer rider.
Written by a former Nationally Certified Rider Coach with 27 plus years of street riding experience with over one million miles in the saddle.

“Learning To Ride 101” : Testimonials
This is a book written by my friend “XCELR8R”, I've read it. I can vouch for it.
For the new rider it is extremely well written, clear and concise, in plain and easy-to-understand language and terms.
Nothing is left out! If you're new to riding motorcycles or are considering buying/riding a motorcycle for the first time, this book is absolutely for you!

Congratulations to “XCELR8R” for writing his book on how to develop confidence with learning to ride safely. Not only is it a good book for beginners but for riders on any level because you can always learn from sharing and validating riding experiences with everyone.
What I admire about JC is his passion for riding which comes from many years of experience on his bike and from teaching what he knows best about riding in terms of developing correct skills that could save your life one day.
I also want to thank him for taking the time away from enjoying his own riding long enough to share his knowledge by writing this book which will help anyone learn how to ride safely from the very beginning of getting to know your bike to the point of riding with confidence.
Unfortunately there are too many accidents that take place every day that may not of happened if the proper control over the bike had been taught. If you are a first time rider or even a rider with some experience you can still learn more from other riders who have had enough experience of knowing what works and what doesn't because sometimes just using your instinct isn't enough to avoid being hurt if an accident does happen.
While reading this book keep in mind that you are learning from one of the best riders out there who will give you a jump start in the right direction to becoming a professional rider without you having to learn from your own mistakes the hard way. Instead your riding experiences will be more pleasurable which will allow you to develop your own passion for riding. Enjoy and Ride Smart!

PS:
Hey JC, I'm done reading your book.
As far as the book goes, I will promote and
do anything I can to help get the word out!!!!
I love how you where so "as it really is" with all
of the descriptions, explanations and "how to’s!!!!
Reading "Learning to Ride 101" does illustrate your basic riding skills.
It is easy to read and easy to understand. I am not a beginner rider, but still very new in exploring my journey as a rider.
This book has not only shown me how much I have grown as a rider in the past 1 1/2 years but has also reminded me of some basics skills of smart riding that I have neglected or have not been applying.
Thanks JC for allowing me the pleasure of reading your book.
I'm am looking forward to your next book.

Florida Rider rides with C.C.M.T
TO JC at C.C.M.T.:
Thank You for arranging my recent 2.5-day tour of the "byways" and sites of the Sierra Nevadas.
People say "A picture is worth a thousand words"...so, then, what is the RIDE worth?? PRICELESS.
Looking at the pictures you had posted on myspace was just not enough for this "straight road rider" from Florida, and the pictures did not compare with the experience of being there and riding those roads in person!
You were an informative tour guide and a patient coach.
I highly recommend C.C.M.T. to ANY rider who wants to experience the FUN of twisty roads and the SPLENDOR of the breath-taking views.
Thanks for all the riding advice and coaching.

Indiana Rider rides with C.C.M.T
I personally flew out to California in August, rented a Kawasaki Concours14 and road the "Epic" tours with JC for 5 days.
I can confirm that it was the most incredible motorcycle riding experience I have ever had in my life!!!!
I have ridden most of my life and really enjoy the twisties where ever I can find them, and I can say that trip was the twisty experience of a life time, and I will do it again!!!!
JC is a very a experienced rider/trainer/coach and the greatest person to ride and tour with.
It's all about what (you) want to see and do, as the guide JC will ride your pace/experience and cover as many miles and as much scenery that you want and are capable of each day!!!!!!
It's not like those set tours to here, then there and there, on the roads you can look at the map and do yourself.....
If your like me, it's at a "fun and enjoyable" pace on the
"unknown" roads and the "back ways" to the most unbelievable sites in Central Calif....it's an experience of a lifetime for anyone that loves to ride!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have over 1000 pics posted from that trip, and a video of a portion of the "Epic" rides that I experienced while touring the
"Middle of Calif."
with CCMT.
So if this sounds like something you would like to experience, or you know someone that would, contact JC

Demographics : Male age: 45-64
JC was very supportive to everyone on the ride
no matter what skill level we had.
Demographics : Female age: 25-34
JC was the best and made me feel comfortable and confident enough to the learn the riding basics.
Demographics : Male age: 45-64
I have ridden motorcycles for five years starting at the age of thirty-five.
Riding with JC, I learned
to counter-steer !!
Never heard the word before!
Could be a life saver !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Demographics : Male age: 45-64
Great sights. JC made me feel at ease.
So the ride was not only very informative but fun.
I was able to learn easier and faster being in an
atmosphere where I felt good about being there and
not pressured into learning but encouraged.
When I did something wrong he took the time to
explain to me how I should have done it.
When I did do it right the words "good job John"
encouraged me to go on and try harder.
Demographics : Female age: 21-24
I learned so much and had a great time.
JC was very patient and fun to ride with.
He made me feel very comfortable and I felt very encouraged by him.
Demographics : Female age: 35-44
I am very glad I decided to take this ride.
It improved my riding skills effectively and
enhanced my "SAFE" riding skills, especially
important when going from off road riding to
street riding.
I would highly recommend this ride to anyone
else that is considering riding a motorcycle and
I am considering taking additional rides later.
Demographics : female age: 35-44
JC has an easy way of communicating instructions.
Over all a very positive experience.
JC is clearly a very passionate teacher / coach.
Thanks for the experience JC.
Demographics : Male age: 35-44
Riding with JC has been probably my best learning experience through the whole thing. JC is a great rider and most of all, he is SAFE. JC has been very kind in answering my questions and sharing his extensive experience with me.
I have been very fortunate in that most of my riding over the past two months has been with rider coach. JC. Every ride for me has been a learning experience and knowing that safety is always the 1st priority has really made me feel like I am in good hands when I am riding with JC.
I know that I have been very lucky to have this fine person as my mentor.
Being 37 years old, I have learned that having fun does not have to mean being unsafe. Also, when I decide to do something, I usually take it very seriously and try to learn and research as much about what I am doing as I can. I am fortunate at this point in my life to have enough resources to pursue my sport bike riding with the proper gear and equipment. I always wear leather (top & bottom) and have even taken JC's advice on some body armor for underneath my leather jacket just for some extra safety. Wearing the right gear really helps to remove any unnecessary fears about going down on the pavement. I still realize that there is a need to ride safely but I feel that by wearing appropriate gear, I am giving myself the best protection that I can in the event of an incident.
I am also very fortunate to have an extremely supportive wife, who has not one time questioned any of my spending on gear. That is very cool.
Oops... sorry for rambling on a bit, but I just really felt the need to express my appreciation to the person that has helped me slingshot through this learning curve of sport bike riding.
JC, I cannot thank you enough for all of your support.
Demographics : Male age: 45-64
JC exceeded my "HEROES". Having been a CHP
motor officer in the late 60's & early 70's I was
looking for involved, concerned, knowledgeable
guide and found a great teacher / coach.
I wish he was around when I was younger...
Thanks for the great time JC.....
Well after having my "HEART" broken and being alone for a very long time I think I may have finally found someone "SPECIAL" to share my so-called life with :)
After getting to know more about her I find myself falling more and more for her with each day that passes.
This "GIRL" now holds my "HEART" and I've fallen in “LOVE” with her !!

Who I'd like to meet: Answer - "EVERYONE"!! LOL.. "PAY ATTENTION"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“ CAUTION ” :
PLEASE PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO THE FOLLOWING BEFORE ASKING FOR OR ACCEPTING A FRIEND REQUEST FROM ME !!!!!!!!
MY FRIENDS will communicate their thoughts as to not make one try and figure out what they are really thinking at that moment...
So with that just said if we are “FRIENDS” remember this and be prepared to receive “E-MAILS” and “COMMENTS” from me now and then just to show some “RIDER LOVE’ and to also check in with you and I would “APPERCIATE” and “EXCPET” the same in return from my “FRIENDS“ !!!!!!!!!!
So “BE AWARE” if there is no communication then I will discontinue our friendship…
The reason is because I am “NOT” a number stacker, I am a “MOTORCYCLE RIDER” that wants to have “GOOD CONVERSATIONS” and “JOKE AROUND” with my friends =)
