Nachdem sich die legendär unbekannten AUTUMN SHADES aufgelöst hatten, formierte sich aus den Resten zunächst MISSING LINK; die es auf drei sagenumwobene Auftritte brachte.
Die große Karriere blieb jedoch wider Erwarten aus, MISSING LINK löste sich auf und aus der Konkursmasse formierte sich PINK CHAIR, die sich aber schnell in RIDING BLINDS umbenannten.
Am Anfang gab es das Konzept, möglichst keine Effektgeräte einzusetzen;
die Besetzung Burghard, dr; Thalke, cello, voc, ac.g; Michael, ac.g; Markus,b; Peter, g, voc, harm; gab die Richtung vor.
Es gab drei Auftritte im "Knust", im "Logo" und im "Riff", sowie eine Demo-CD (far away from home).
Danach verließ zunächst Thalke die Band, um sich in die Nachwuchsarbeit zu stürzen, später ging auch Markus, um die hoffnungsvollen VARIOMATIC (die Zukunft des Rock.. n ..Roll?) zu gründen.
Er wurde ersetzt durch Clarence. Seitdem sind die Riding Blinds kompakter, elektrischer - Michael hat sich elektrifiziert - und vielfältiger geworden:
Michael singt, Burghard steuert eigene Songs bei und singt background und Clarence variables Bassspiel ist ein unverwechselbares Element geworden.
Eine neue Demo-CD ist im Kasten, ein umjubeltes Comeback im LIVE folgte- und jetzt seid ihr dran !
Moin, mein Bruder! Habe vielleicht ende August n DJ set in Hamburg. Gestern hat hier ne Band aus Dresden gespielt und anschließend mich gefragt ob ich am 7.8. in Schwerin und am 28.8 in Hamburg ihr Rahmenprogramm machen will. Schwerin ist zu weit für'n Freitag aber Hamburg hab ich schon mal zugesagt. Den endgültigen Zuschlag bekomm ich nachdem die mit dem örtlichen Veranstalter gesprochen haben.
Wunderschön! Dafür hasse und liebe ich You Tube! Gestern saß ich schon Stundenlang davor und habe Videos all der toten Helden wie Lee Hazlewood und Johnny Cash sowie Joey,Johnny und Dee Dee Ramone geguckt. Bei den beiden erstgenannten musste ich doch n bißchen um meine Conténance kämpfen. Townes van Zandt darf ich mir auch nicht zu lange angucken. YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHAAAAAAAW!!!!

Gestern haben hier Chumbawumba auf'm Kultursommer gespielt und umsonst war immer noch Wucher! Was für Langweiler, Himmel hilf ihnen! Unplugged & uninteresting. Daqnnach war in der Wagenburg noch n Konzert von Trägerrakete. Unbekannt aber großartig, so daß ich da den Versuch abbrechen konnte mir ne Band gut zu trinken. Abend doch noch gerettet, Sonntag im Arsch. That's countrylife!

UGH! It's just that he picks the damnedest (I know it's not a word) times to take a nap. I am STARVING and I didn't plan on cooking because my dad gave us a gift certificate to go to Ruby Tuesday and we had plans to go. I tried to wake him up over an hour ago and he's still laying there. I'm moving on from annoyed to pissed off! anywayz, it went good. We got stuff for our wii.
