making, listening to, and watching performed music, coffee. jelly beans, candy corn, stargazing. bubble baths. candlemaking and burning. walking or biking in the woods. film. making something out of nothing. you.
* bubble baths = obvious chick bait * I really do though.

Movies
I like movies that nobody's heard of. Sometimes the real gems are too good for Hollywood to know what to do with (i.e. how to 'sell') Sometimes playing degrees-of-separation with rentals leads to hidden gold, if you like an actor or director, try their other films. Even trailers on rentals lead you to movies you've never heard of. Plus it's fun having 'discovered' something the majority seems to have missed out on.
anything Kubrick (2001), David Lynch (Twin Peaks), Tom Tykwer (Run Lola Run), Christopher Guest (Best of Show), Coen Brothers (O Brother Where Art Thou), Kevin Spacey, Peter Sellers (Pink Panther), Larry David, Charlie Kaufman (Being John Malkovich), Bruce Campbell (Evil Dead), or Baz Luhrman (Moulin Rouge), Donnie Darko, American Beauty, Raiders of the Lost Ark
Television
I used to not watch TV. But I follow a handful of shows relating to superheroes, fringe science, vampires in the Deep South, galactic battles, and people lost on an island.
Books
David Sedaris, any kind of self-help or relationship book, anything on metaphysics, astronomy, psychology, gender; not a huge fiction fan, I'd rather read something that educates than entertains. Books on tape. Herman Hesse. Anything from the philosophy/religion section at the Book Loft in Columbus.
Sometimes I like to rest my eyes, having had to focus them on text all day long for work, so I regret not reading more.

I believe everyone has a superpower. But they are mundane superpowers.
Here is a list of examples:
o always knowing what time it is
o never getting lost
o being able to drive in reverse - really well.
o being able to craft a meal out of whatever food is at hand
o knowing exactly when the [microwave | dryer | cooking] will finish
My own super-power is remembering music, in the right key usually.
And when I throw something, it lands exactly where I want, or
someplace more interesting. (but only on the first try)
sensitive, creative, enthusiastic, playful, intuitive, curious, independent, co-dependent, talented, just, thriving on balance and harmony
INFJ personality type
I like to make candles. I like Indian food. I collect musical
instruments and sometimes attempt to play them.
quotes:
It's hard living in a culture that relies so heavily on greed and ambition.
You can't go wrong with chicken.
There must be a way!
Are you going to finish that?

Then God said, "Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds." And it was so.
The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.
- Genesis 1:11
Who I'd like to meet: This question can be interpreted different ways.
Is it a list question of people I'd like to meet?
Is it a place to describe the qualities of a person I'd like to meet?
Or how about just, yes, I'd like to meet. Say, 8:00 at Spice Island Tea House?
I'm going with category 2. I'd like to meet someone with whom
to have interesting conversations. Conversation is really tops
for me. It's what keeps you together when you're old and gray
and sitting on your rockers on the front porch.
And what else do I value in a person? Perceptiveness. Someone
who notices things.
Happy Early Birthday old friend. I look back at my life, although it is short, and i see how it is filled with music. I think sometimes, why have i chosen music? Then I remember growing up around all these strange adults who understood my strange curiosity. All talented in some form of music. SO, this more of a thank you than a Happy Birthday. You are on of the musical influences in my life. Although I have not seen you in a long time, i consider you to be a sort of role model. You were a big influence on my young person, and so i say,"Happy Birthday"(Tomorrow)
Never ever settle for less. There are no dress rehearsals in life, no do-overs, no make-up tests, it’s all "filmed in front of a live studio audience!"
As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that wasn't supposed to ever let you down probably will. You will have your heart broken probably more than once and it's harder every time. You'll break hearts too, so remember how it felt when yours was broken. You'll fight with your best friend. You'll blame a new love for things an old one did. You'll cry because time is passing too fast, and you'll eventually lose someone you love. So take too many pictures, laugh too much, and love like you've never been hurt because every sixty seconds you spend upset is a minute of happiness you'll never get back. Don't be afraid that your life will end, be afraid that it will never begin.
