Kitchens And Kitchens. Heat from kitchens. Classic and Modern Recipes. Cook Books. Detroit Theater. I enjoy collecting bags full of days. I do this so that when each day is done, i can empty the bag and sort through it, and put to pen what it is that i have again just learned, felt, touched, tasted, and seen. it is all important.......so I write it all down. Perhaps, I will be published one day.....I better be, i have spent so long writing, someone better read it. And of course the other interests in life that keep our heads from blowing up. ie. music, movies, friends, family, jobs, art, acting, food, etc....etc...
Music
I only like stuff that doesnt suck. It is a wide range. I am proud to admit that I am a Phish fan. My first show was in 1993, and was hooked from the start. I have seen 70 plus shows in at least 25 states. It was a great time and I will never forget all the wonderful people, places and adventures. As for the rest of my musical taste, it goes from Mozart to Ween, from Radiohead to Wes Montgomery, from Dead Can Dance to
Youth, from Slayer to Dave Brubeck, from Minor Threat to Jimmy Smith, from Hendrix to Bach, from Steve Kimock to Mudhoney, from the Clash to Peter Tosh, from Nirvana to Satie, from Mike Patton Projects to Arvo Part, from Tom Waits to Morphine,
from.....forget this, there is way to much music that I love to list it all....
Movies
I like tons of movies. All time favs, Blade Runner, Amadeus and Casablanca, And of course films by Kubrick, Jarmusch, P.T. Anderson, Wes Anderson, Tarantino, Coen Brothers, Hitchcock, on.....and on....and on.... And i am a proud fan of the entire genre of horror fims. The Classics Damnit!.
Television
Anthony Bourdain's "No Reservations"!
Books
I can not answer this one. I guess it is Tropic of Capricorn. Do not worry, it didnt change my life. But it did make aware that there are amazing authors and books out there combined with alot of cool shit in the world and it just keeps going on. like it or not.....So many books, so little time. I get mad at myself when i cant find thirty minutes in a day to read.....only because there is so much that i want to read. One sound I love, is the sound of a turning page.

To tell people about yourself, is like asking a frog to tell you how it catches a bug. What does anyone care? Im a chef, a bar manager, I write, I like music, I like movies, I like your mom, I like alot of things. I dislike alot of things.
"Once you have given up the ghost, everything follows with dead certainty, even in the midst of chaos" -Henry Miller, Tropic Of Capircorn. Cheers!
Who I'd like to meet: More Detroit actors. Henry Miller, and any other of my favorite authors, so i could thank them, and the people who introduced me to them, you know who you are. Chris V.s dad so i could thank him. Tony Bourdain, Eschoffe', and other great chefs that have helped shape the culinary arts into what they are today. And last but not least, Jimi Hendrix and Bruce Lee. Of course for the obvious, but also, the three of us share the same birthday...
