Rikard Borggård is a composer and the joint artistic director of Teater Giljotin with Kia Berglund, stage director. Teater Giljotin produces cutting edge drama, performance art, experimental music, dance theatre and re-invented classics. The theatre recently started Grey Room Giljotin to further challenge the collaboration between different disciplines and creates a hotbed for tomorrows performance art.
Rikard Borggård has enjoyed international success composing for TV, theatre, ballet and film. He has worked with for example; The Cullberg Ballet, Royal Dramatic Theatre of Sweden, Det Konglige Teater in Copenhagen, Bern Stadt Teater, Stockholm City Theatre, the Swedish National Television, Smolyan Drama Theatre in Bulgaria, Grand Theatre in Groningen, Sophiensaele in Berlin, Compagnie Karina Holla in Amsterdam. Rikard also wrote the score for the dvd Refused are fucking dead. He is part of the Cinephonix (UK) team who works on major motion picture and television music.
