    Ricardo Espinel (1985) is a young dj producer from Bogotá Colombia. He started at the age 12 to write and produce electronic and instrumental music. He grew up with the dance music movement with artists like pet shop boys, erasure, depeche mode, new order and others. At the age of 17 he began to prove him at the turntables at the same time he produce. When he bought his first PC and his first Synth he began playing some of his own productions of trance and progressive line. Djs like Sasha, James Holden, John Digweed, Deep dish and Jimmy Van M have been his influence for the last years. Rikesto began playing their first sets in some clubs of Bogota and in the underground scene with some electronic movements. In 2001, EMI music heard his material and decide to include his first song "Bogotá" with the nickname of Ronni on the dance music compilation "AfterClub 3" (2002) and the next year, his song "Volcanic Rock" appears on "Afterclub 4" (2005) and in a cd compilation of EMI and Levis (2005), Rikesto (Ronni) write and produce a song called Casino with the boys of the excellent Yndukana. He has created some remixes for national artists like FONSECA, CABAS, COMPAÑIA ILIMITADA, MAIA and internationals like BALLEATIC BILL & ELIOR. He has played his music in famous clubs of Bogotá like CHA CHA, LA SALA, LA MODELO, TROPICAL COCKTAILS, in the famous radio show VOLTAJE ELECTRONICA FM and in a important electronic music festival of Colombia, the Summer Festival in Bogotá at the Simon Bolivar Park with more than 50.000 souls & in the great festival MINAS DE NEMOCON. He was the resident on 2009 every saturdays of the renowned club LA SALA with his own artists collective FAMILIA MUSIC. His first E.P. was released in july 2010 on the Balkan Connection SA label with the Nicholas Van Orton support. In 2010 With the support of Nicholas Van Orton he started to produce music under the label balkan Connection South America. In recent years he has evolved, creating his own style submerged between progressive, techno and experimental sounds. His sounds evoke his life and his way of thinking, being influenced by his personal experiences. His tracks has been supported by artists like John Digweed, Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Guy J, Moonbeam, Dubfire, Darin Espilon and Kasey Taylor just to name a few.
