I started out as a guitarist for the Catholic School Girls (a seminal Glam Punk band in Phoenix) in the early 90's. The band featured Bob Hill (passed away in 1993), Jonathan Richardson, Adrian Evans, and Sean Jens (the latter two went on to play in Sugar High). Catholic School Girls used to play along side bands like Dead Hot Workshop, Gin Blossoms, Saliva Tree, B. Strange, Undertow at Tempe's Sun Club. We were an influential Phoenix Glam Punk band that opened the way for Slash City Daggers, New Romantics, White Demons, Thee Unfortunates, Crash Street Kids, and 9th Street Shakedown.
As DJ Essential since '94, I've played countless Rave Parties, Nightclubs, and residencies at various Phoenix clubs for 10 years. I've been lucky enough to play everywhere in between Vancouver & Miami. I've been involved with the beginnings of AZ Drum & Bass, Acid Jazz/ Downtempo, 2-Step Garage, Nu Jazz/Broken Beat, and now spinning Dubstep.
