How ya doing? Long time no see! How's the motherland? What have you been up to lately? It's been a long time no see! Been up to much? I'm in Jap for a year and then plan on going back to New Zealand nad really kickin' Folkin ' Good Times off. I've got some people on board and a bunch of ideas... It's gonna happen. Part of it is going to be more like a record label. I should be able to bring back enough money for some sweet gear and stuff, too :-) Japan is quite nuts. I don't really know too many people here and have quite a bit of free time so I spend a lot of it on the porch with my banjo (don't have a guitar here yet), reading, smoking and drinking. It was 37 degrees here on Saturday, which is ridiculous! Cigarettes and booze are starting to get the better of me, though. It's just hard when a pack of cigarettes is $5 and can be bought from the vending machine outside my apartment. I've been chowing through them also because you can smoke in bars, offices, arcades and pretty much most places here. Booze is about half the price, and spirits are especicially cheap. Whisky in the vending machines and corner stores for less than half of what it costs in NZ because ofthe low taxes on alcohol is providing quite a shock to the system. Sake is the biggest killer though. It's been my water over here... It's all pretty cool though. I don't start teaching yet so I'm sitting in an office with nothing to do but drink coffee, smoke and read.
Nah mate, the best bit was the ramshackle set, the libs would have been proud :) the glock was very good though. Yeah keep in touch, i'll get these exams out of the way and we'll go sparkle a few crowds. Dan
