Recording upcoming album, "Simple Things". This album captures everything Tony Williams has worked so hard for over the past 8 years of song-writing, touring, and collaborating with other artist's, since releasing his first album with the "Iconic" Reggae Band RIMSHOT in 2001. Tony starting singing Reggae during his senior year of high school in 1989, while attending Cerritos High School in Southern California. He then became a member of THE TWELVE TRIBES OF ISRAEL organization. Realizing his talent on Sound System/DJ he soon traveled to New Zealand and New York w/ The 12 Tribes and worked his lyrical talents there! "Eventually I was drafted from Sound System to live bands and worked w/ other bands and The 12 Tribes band until forming my own band RIMSHOT in 1999." Touring all over California, even "Up in Idaho" w/ big acts like Kottonmouth Kings and Eek-A-Mouse, Williams established himself as one of the premier progenitors of CONSCIOUS Reggae Music in California. Jamaica and Trinidad were calling for Tony to step up the professional ladder and the Orthodox Muzik Tour of 2003 through Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, Grenada, and Barbados was the perfect chance to spread his love of good music to the Islands. Ken Booth, Fredlocks, Jahmel, Sangie Davis and Marva Gillespie were all great artists for Tony to emulate on his rise to the Top! A NEW CD was eminent as Williams needed to expose himself to the Reggae world with some powerful and fresh material. With help from his Executive Producer and childhood friend, Gary Begin, he enlisted the BEST of Jamaica's Reggae Musicians for his latest Album project, the heavy-weight--"SIMPLE THINGS". Producer, Sangie Davis brought in Dean Fraser and Ozou'ne to arrange the album along with Earl "Chinna" Smith, Sly Dunbar, and many other world class players @ the legendary Kingston studios---Harry J's, Tuff Gong, Anchor and Bobby Digital. "It was a dream come true for me to record w/ the greatest musicians @ the greatest studios in Reggae!"..said Williams. Recent Performances in JA w/ big stars like Ginjah, Natural Blacks, Tarrus Riley, Judah "Eskender" Tafari, and Sugar Minott are just a few of the greats Williams is working with now! With a recent World Video Premier of "Earth is the Lord's", and a live performance of "Up in Idaho"(both stand-out tracks on the new cd!) on HYPE TV, more videos airing, and songs on the radio in Jamaica, Trinidad, and the US, Tony Williams is only now getting ready to launch to the heights of the Reggae World!!
