“Amateurs de musique électronique sérieuse, passez votre chemin, car la riguer et l’austérité ne sont pas le propos de Ringel-S, le nouveau projet du Belge Jan D’Hooghe qui avec son partenaire Geert Bogaerts s’est decide à render un homage plus qu’appuyé à la neue deutsche welle un peu putassière qui a bercé leur enfance, poussant le jeu jusqu’à s’ inventer des pseudonyms allemands et à chanter dans la langue de Goethe. Parfois purement genial, comme un successeur direct aux premiers albums de DAF ou à Liasons Dangereuses, parfois gentiment kitsch ou franchissement niaiseux, Edelduft n’en cerreure pas moins l’album essential pour lutter contre la déprime d’une journée pluvieuse.
