| General | The Ringlords™ are a kind of fraternal/sororal order & literary society . . . Said society can trace its roots a long, looong way back...the present incarnation of the organization dates all the way back to the 1920's, which alone certainly makes it pretty Ancient & August . . . one of the things we do is periodically post the famous News Of Import™, an eclectic e-zine that covers many fields of interest to our members . . . There's plenty more about the Order over at www.Ringlords.com . . . That site is almost always in a state of either constant construction or benign neglect . . . Nonetheless, it can be very entertaining at times. . . Folks seem to find it fun & rewarding. . . And we're actually working on an Official blurb again, something we attempt every ten years or so . . . Watch for it! . . . You can also sometimes find us at several other Ringlords outposts . . . Foremost on the list has to be Wizard Rock. . . Originally born out of the massive popularity of J. K. Rowling’s Harry Potter saga, in the last couple of years, the music scene has exploded with literally hundreds of bands who draw their names, lyrics and inspiration from the Hogwarts universe . . . Wrockers, we love you all!

We happen to like Trock . . . short for Time Lord rock . . . a music scene that is rapidly burgeoning around the resurgence of Dr. Who, with bands like the Chameleon Circuits, the Sontaran Experiment, Bad Wolf and Turn Left . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Many years ago, when we were first discovering the writings of H. P. Lovecraft, a band of the same name released their first recording on the Dunwich label. Their lyrics leapt straight from the pages we were reading at the time. So we are delighted that the process is being revisited today . . . Special mention must therefore be made of The Darkest Of The Hillside Thickets, whose inspiration likewise derives from H. P. Lovecraft . . . Wizard rock of a far more sinister bent perhaps, but wizard rock nonetheless . . . And wizard rock that carries the torch of the original Lovecraftian tradition . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Any author touching upon these subjects will garner our attentions. . . Of course, accounts of travel into the Realms Beyond The Waking Worlds are highly favored. . . The classics in the genres of High Fantasy and the Quest are popular. . . and we’ve always enjoyed a good comic book. . . So, if books are your thing, you've come to the right Space . . . | | Heroes | Pamela Coleman Smith, aka Pixie. Pamela was the artist who painted the portraits that today grace the 78 cards of the Smith - Rider - Waite tarot deck. She died penniless, her name now all but forgotten, yet her work is the most reproduced art in the history of civilization. . . Fame is fleeting, Friends! . . . . . . . .
