About me: Bass playing is my passion and has been my main instrument for the last 2 decades.
I love all types of real Metal music such as Iron Maiden, Symphony X, Megadeth, Iced Earth, Slaughter, Judas Priest......etc. I also respect all other talented varieties of music............which, coincidently, usually doesn't include popular music.
My current project is titled Born of Silence. The sound is a mixture of a wide variety of styles, melted nicely together as a truly unique sound in Melodic Metal.
I'm using DEAN basses exclusively. I have 5 of them right now and a limited edition DEAN V- Bass on the way.
As for amps, I'm using a PEAVEY TOUR 700 with a PEAVEY TOUR 810 cabinet.
I have also been to Africa 3 times, doing Christian missionary work and I'm semi-fluent in Swahili.
Being a musician and a missionary, I guess would make me a
'Musicianary.'
I am married to a beautiful Kenyan girl named Veronicah. I met her the first year there when I was in a van that broke down on the Serengeti, by Mount Kilimanjaro. It was obvious that it was a divine meeting by God.
I'll also probably be playing with more deadly snakes and animals over there. I keep getting yelled at for doing so, but there is something about my safari outfit that just screams for me to do it.
You should've seen the faces of everyone on my missions team when they found out I'd petted the third deadliest snake in the world. WOO HOO! The Puff Adder. Crickey, it was a BEAUTY! Oh, or when I had the three posionous sand snakes on my head. I looked like Medusa!
Oh, and I HATE onions and milk! They are of the Devil!
Who I'd like to meet: Steve Harris, James Lomenzo, Alex Webster, John Myung, James MacDonough, Derek Smalls, Dana Strum, Mark Slaughter, and Jeff Corwin.
Well, I've always said Steve Irwin, but I guess I'll be seeing him on the other side. (R.I.P. mate. You've been a huge inspiration to me.)
If you can cook good BBQ Ribs, I will really be glad to meet you. :) I'm a barbecue fanatic. My barbecue weapons are a Brinkkmann smoker and The Smo-King Pit barbecue sauce.
