RIOT 87 is electronic / drum'n'bass band, formed by Darko Andric (producer, DJ, remixer). In 2007 Igor Despotovic joined the band as a guitar player. Their music can be described as a mixture of a lot of genres, a real fusion of everything - drum'n'bass, rock, breakbeat, dubstep, rave, hip hop. They started with psytrance in 2005, joining former record label from Hollywood - On The Move Music. With new style and ideas, their tracks and remixes caused a lot of talking all over the psytrance world community, from Brasil to Russia, a lot of djs and fans showed support for this new style. But along with making new tracks and remixes, and participating in FiXT remix contests, in late 2008 Darko made a huge twist in his music production and completely turned to making drum'n'bass and dubstep music. A lot of things caused this twist: working on remixes for Celldweller/Fixt crew, dozen failed contracts with psytrance promoters and mostly the influence from the UK music scene. Shortly after their first psytrance release "EP - Are You Riot" in 2009, they started to work on album for record label from Detroit, FiXT Music, owned by Celldweller. Album with working title "Nothing Is Heard" is expected to be finished in 2010, and it will include some of the remixes for FiXT artists plus some of the original RIOT 87 tracks. In the beginning of 2010 RIOT 87 organized a remix contest for their most popular track in 2009 (according to Itunes) - Kill All Djs. Over 50 artists from 17 countries took part in the remix contest, and 9 best remixes were released on compilation - Kill All Djs Remixes. Along with making new tracks and remixes, Darko and Igor are working on a LIVE SHOW, which will include live keyboards, vocalist, live guitars and a drummer. In late 2010 Darko and Igor will start to work on flim/tv music, instrumental electronic album with music mostly for film/tv, commercials, trailers and video games.
