About me: R.I.O.T. on the River 2009
Hi leaders,
Riot On The River was amazing. We prayed to God to stop the rain at 5pm - and He did! Literally, at 5pm, when Riot was scheduled to start, after raining all day and during setup, the rain stopped! Praising Him and thrilled at the turnout! Our expectations were exceeded-approximately 2,000 people came. If you could have seen the Altar Calls, the teens in tears as they went forward - you would see the power of positive music ministry. Thank you to all who turned out to help, our security guys, salvation team, Stage help, Vendors, bouncer helpers (the bungee jump was a hit!) and especially the bands - Jay Michael, Aevory Nash, Stefano, Mercy Rising, Von Isley and Good Night Wednesday. Behind the scenes were Erica, Samantha Whetro and Jonathon Whetro, couldn't have done it without you! Please keep all involved in your prayers. Next year we would like to look towards bringing in a national band. Pray for the right band to step forward and volunteer to be there.
The thirteenth annual RIOT on the River will be at the Falls River Square in beautiful downtown Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio on Saturday, August 8th from 5-11 p.m. It is a free music festival with a variety of food and merchandise vendors. There will be games for all ages including a bungy jump and a kids bouncer as well as an obstacle course and a free interactive water fountain. There will be fun give-aways as well as raffles for great prizes.
This year’s music line up is one of the best ever at the event. The winners from the 2009 Battle of the Bands will be performing early in the evening beginning with the Honorable Mention band, Von Isley from Hudson. Aevory Nash, a local band came in second behind winner, Jay Michael. Jay loves to interact with the crowd and is sure to please everyone with his “hippie boy” style. RIOT is bringing back three groups from last year’s line up with Goodnight Wednesday, a hard rock group and loves music. Mercy Rising will be coming in from Youngstown and they rock hard as well. The headliner for the 2009 event is Stefano, a local hip hop singer that will close out the night with great vocals and music! Jerry Smith, a local youth pastor, is back with the RIOT on the River to be the Master of Ceremonies and he is always ready to have a great time between the change up of the bands.
This is a R.I.O.T. – a righteous invasion of truth – not just a concert! Come and experience the intensity of the music from bands that love the One that gave them their musical talent and watch how it can change the eternity of many people.
It’s time to RIOT!

What's up Riot ? Just wanted to stop by and say hi! How are things going? Things are going great for Broken 3418! If you haven't heard yet we just inked a record deal with Tennessee based "Soul Joy Records". These guys are awesome! They truly have a heart for reaching people. This should be a great partnership.
If you get the chance check out our new label mates in our “Top Friends”, I know you’ll like em. Enough about us, what’s going on with you! Hit me back and let me know how things are going!
