  • Bio

If Nashville ever had a drunken one night stand with Guns N Roses, then it is certain that Ripley Road is the offspring. Country roots run deep in south Alabama, but so does attitude and junkyard guitars. Ripley Road personifies the southern badboy image in both their playing style and on stage performance. The group has been drawing crowds and setting club attendance records for over three years and they’re just getting started. Hailing from South Alabama, getting dirty and playin dirty is in their genes. Jagermeister and Jagermeister Country Music has also taken note of this group. The band is officially sponsored by Jagermeister and JagerMusic. “This ain’t your momma’s country” according to frontman and Iraq War veteran, Charles Michael Scott. Who has fronted the group since it’s foundation in late 2007. Ripley Road set’s itself apart from other country acts by the atmoshpere they create. When asked why club owners love booking Ripley Road, Charles is quoted saying “People pay money to have a great time, not sit around and listen to live music. We believe that every venue owner deserves to get his money’s worth from an onstage act, and so do the patrons who pay. Our responsibilty is to generate bar sales and draw attendance, something alot of acts have forgotten” Ripley Road flat out puts on a show. The guys performances and onstage antics is like attending a four hour major concert for the mere price of door cover. The groups playing style is definately unique, purposely performing outside the box of mainstream country, by providing the edgy and upbeat tone that venue owners and patrons look for. The members of Ripley Road not only hold down fulltime blue collar jobs, but also performed 48 out of 52 weekends in 2009 alone, not including festivals and benefits. The group is now looking to expand into the Southeast Market and begin performing at larger venues. Booking Ripley Road is not just booking another band, It’s booking an event. Ripley Road's sound is raised in the Mississippi Mud, from the swamp lands of Florida and HELL YEAH bred in Sweet Home Alabama. Take a little Alabama, mix some Skynyrd, a smidgin' of Blackfoot, a taste of Jason Aldean, alot attitude from Hank Jr and The Man in Black, a heaping teaspoon full of It's party time and you have Ripley Road. We drive the four wheel drives, the girls in our neighborhood still wear cutooffs and barefeet, and we still like our beer cold and down by the river means a cane pole, a few good friends and true Southern Rock and Country Music. Hell yeah, WE DO create a party, What do you say folks? ...... ......
